First of all, I want to apologize.
This is a book I truly cherish, but there's no denying that it has a great many flaws.
The first issue is the title.
I'm taking a chapter to address this misunderstanding now, after I've been writing the book for quite some time.
At first, this book was just a hobby I picked up to pass the time when I was between books, so I chose the title very casually.
Besides, back then, my abilities, writing, and the way I handled the plot were all quite immature.
Once I really got into the writing, I realized there was a slight conflict between the work itself and its title. But by then, changing the title had become rather complicated, so I chose not to. I'm truly sorry to all the readers who were troubled by this.
It wasn't until around the middle to latter part of the Britain arc that I finally figured out how I wanted to write this book well. I also began seriously researching and filling in the details. As a result, the book's first arc—the Britain arc, which should have been its strongest and most compelling—couldn't shine as brightly as it deserved to for various reasons.
The main theme of this book is participation, not causing trouble, so perhaps a title that used "walking" would have been more fitting.
This isn't a power fantasy, so there are no sweeping changes, and certainly no harem. This is the first book I've ever taken seriously, and I'm not skilled enough to take risks. I don't want to end up with both my readers and me unhappy—with the plot spiraling out of control, the power scaling falling apart, and the relationships becoming a mess.
In short, I'm truly sorry for the trouble I've caused everyone. I also want to give those who have just started reading this book a heads-up.
The content doesn't quite match the title, because I really was quite careless when I named it.
This book is simply about an ordinary person taking part in the many eras of Type-Moon.
