Lawrence sat in the mirror container with her legs hugged to her chest. Rather than struggling, she had calmed down.
She reflected on everything that had happened since arriving in this Singularity and painfully realized something.
The London Singularity had, for the most part, been created by Adelson.
Mirror magecraft, gem magecraft—everything bore Adelson's traces. Even if she could not identify it as his work, the instant she saw those gems, she should have realized it was magecraft of the Zolgen Family!
Was it because she had been too exhausted before? She had actually overlooked that point. Because the first thing she saw had been a gem transformed into a mirror, she had subconsciously ignored it.
Adelson was still in a daze. He thought he was still thinking, but in truth, his thoughts had long since turned to mush.
With a kick, Adelson forced open the entrance leading underground and stepped into the teleportation circle.
Underground, a small mirror magecraft field still stood there, maintaining the exceptionally dense magical energy in the area.
The two gem cages imprisoning Hans Christian Andersen and William Shakespeare remained where they were. Carrying the container holding Lawrence, Adelson walked over to the desk where he usually worked and opened it.
Lawrence stood there, startled.
"Mother." Adelson dropped to his knees before Lawrence, spreading his arms as though embracing the air, and called out to her in a trembling voice.
"Adelson." Lawrence did not answer him. She merely looked at her son with sorrow and anger in her eyes. "Was all of this... your doing?"
"Yes, it was all mine. I succeeded. I revived Mother. I succeeded..." Adelson muttered, while answering Lawrence's question at the same time.
Lawrence narrowed her eyes, let out a long sigh, and sat down on a nearby stool.
"Adelson, my
