  • Hassan Sabbah revealed himself as Grand Assassin, and Xiang An revealed himself as Grand Rider before Chaldea and Tiamat.

Xiang An unleashed his Noble Phantasm, transporting everyone to Mount Tai and suppressing Tiamat in its Underworld. With Ereshkigal’s Authority mysteriously restored and Tiamat gathering magical energy again, Chaldea prepared to attack her while she was weakened.

Xiang An reunited with Zi Juan and promised not to be late again, while Tiamat crawled toward the exit and Mash was knocked aside as Fujimaru Ritsuka faced Kulullu.

Ch. 1618The Return of the Hero King

Gilgamesh arrived at Mount Tai and joined the battle against Tiamat, while Nanshe, Annanu, and Enkidu worked together to push back the Chaos Tide and knock Tiamat from the rock wall. Tiamat landed in the Tide of Chaos and unleashed a barrage of magical blasts, leaving Xiang An injured.

  • Golden weapons severed Kulullu's tentacle, killed it, and freed Fujimaru Ritsuka, Mash, and others from Tiamat's children.
  • Gilgamesh appeared beside the gate to the Netherworld and used his vault's weapons to attack the Demonic Beasts and halt Tiamat's climb.

  • Ereshkigal unleashed Kur Kigal Irkalla, raising a stone prison around Tiamat and temporarily halting her expansion.

Fujimaru Ritsuka and the others coordinated their Noble Phantasms to break through Tiamat’s Nega Genesis and give him a chance to strike her weak point. Ritsuka advanced toward Tiamat with Gilgamesh’s dagger, but a Lahmu attacked him before he could reach her.

  • Gilgamesh gave Fujimaru Ritsuka a dagger and instructed him to aim at the center of Tiamat’s brow when she unfolded Nega Genesis.
  • Ritsuka used a Command Spell to restore Xiang An’s strength, while Merlin, Lawrence, and Mash prepared to clear a path for him.

  • Hassan Sabbah blocked the Lahmu and ordered Fujimaru Ritsuka to run toward Tiamat.

Ch. 1623[Enuma Elish]

Xiang An’s Noble Phantasm and Fujimaru Ritsuka’s dagger destroyed Nega Genesis, allowing Tiamat to regain her sanity as Xiang An, Zi Juan, and Hassan Sabbah faded away. Gilgamesh gathered his remaining strength and unleashed Ea’s Enuma Elish against Tiamat, with Ereshkigal watching from the Underworld.

  • Xiang An used Punishment to strip Tiamat of Abzu’s mana and abilities, and Fujimaru Ritsuka stabbed her forehead with Gilgamesh’s dagger, collapsing Nega Genesis.

Da Vinci explained that Gilgamesh’s Noble Phantasm had destroyed the Holy Grail, delaying their Spiritron Transfer and giving them time to say farewell to those remaining in the Singularity.

  • Fujimaru Ritsuka and Mash escaped the gemstone shell and found the unconscious Lawrence and Nanshe in the ruins.
  • Lawrence briefly woke, smiled at Fujimaru Ritsuka, and passed out again; Nanshe explained that Lawrence had exhausted herself using her Noble Phantasm to protect them.
  • Nanshe reflected on her feelings for Ereshkigal after Fujimaru Ritsuka recalled the goddess’s sacrifice in the Underworld.

Ch. 1625Destroyed Uruk

Fujimaru Ritsuka, Mash, and their allies surveyed ruined Uruk after the black mud receded and the Underworld was sealed, then rested before planning to visit the palace. During the night, Merlin told Ritsuka he had come to admire him, and Mash asked whether her grandfather had been special too.

  • Fujimaru Ritsuka and Mash saw that Uruk had been destroyed, while Nanshe explained that Gilgamesh had protected the land and that Annanu and Enkidu had sacrificed their Saint Graphs to help save it.
  • Ishtar and Merlin joined them on the city wall, where Merlin said the Underworld’s path had been sealed and that Xiang An and Ereshkigal had fulfilled their duties and departed.

Merlin explained why he cared about Fujimaru Ritsuka, thanked Chaldea for their gratitude, and gave Ritsuka a flower before departing. After Merlin disappeared, Ritsuka wondered why he had not run back to them.

  • Merlin told Mash that judging her grandfather was difficult and explained that he admired how Ritsuka traveled through stories and created better endings.
  • Roman congratulated Ritsuka on completing the mission and teased Merlin for intervening as an overly enthusiastic fan.
  • Roman, Ritsuka, and Mash thanked Merlin for helping them, and Merlin said their gratitude had made him feel more human.
  • Merlin gave Ritsuka a flower as a keepsake, praised her battle, and wished for her journey to reach a perfect conclusion.
  • Merlin dissolved into petals, and Ritsuka asked Mash why Merlin had not run back to them.

Ch. 1627Always Victorious, Always Losing

Gilgamesh awoke on his throne after dreaming of Annanu and Enkidu, who comforted him as he mourned Uruk’s loss. Fujimaru Ritsuka and the others reached him in the ruins, and Gilgamesh prepared to move on while explaining how he had survived the Underworld.

  • Annanu and Enkidu woke Gilgamesh and told him he had defeated the Chaos Tide, though they could no longer stay with him.
  • Gilgamesh acknowledged that Uruk had fallen and mourned the losses he had suffered, but vowed to keep moving forward as king.
  • Annanu and Enkidu vanished, and the palace transformed into ruins around Gilgamesh’s intact throne.
  • Fujimaru Ritsuka and the others found Gilgamesh, who welcomed them and asked whether Lawrence had awakened.
  • Gilgamesh said he had temporarily died in the Underworld to catch Ereshkigal off guard.

Ch. 1628The Possibilities of Humanity

At the ruins of Uruk, Gilgamesh shared how his failed quest for immortality taught him about humanity’s capacity to endure and grow, and affirmed that Fujimaru Ritsuka was the person this era needed. Roman then called Ritsuka and Mash back to prepare for their return, as their journey was not over.

  • Fujimaru Ritsuka placed Merlin’s flower on the ruins of Uruk as a memorial, and Gilgamesh acknowledged his gesture.
  • Gilgamesh assured Mash that Uruk and human civilization would endure even if he died fighting Tiamat.
  • Gilgamesh recounted how a snake stole the herb of immortality he had brought home, and how he laughed and faced the future despite his loss.
  • Gilgamesh told Fujimaru Ritsuka that humanity could keep growing until its final moment and affirmed that Ritsuka was the person this era needed.
  • Roman announced that the Spiritron Transfer passage was ready and called Fujimaru Ritsuka and Mash back.

Ch. 1629Being the Person in the Story

Fujimaru Ritsuka, Mash, and their companions said farewell to Gilgamesh, Ishtar, and Nanshe before returning to Chaldea. Uruk survived the restored Singularity, and its people carried its hope northward as the gods departed.

  • Gilgamesh, Ishtar, and Nanshe exchanged reluctant goodbyes with Fujimaru Ritsuka and Mash as Roman opened the Spiritron Transfer passage.
  • Gilgamesh offered Fujimaru Ritsuka a cup of wine, and Fujimaru drank it and took the Holy Grail before Mash and the others reacted.
  • Gilgamesh asked Fujimaru Ritsuka and Mash how they had found Uruk, and they called it an incomparably joyful city.
  • Chaldea returned to its own era, while Uruk's people marched north to seek new land and continue their lives.
  • Ishtar and Nanshe departed as golden particles, and humanity continued living without the gods.

Ch. 1631A Rest Before the Final Ending

After the seven Singularities were eliminated, Roman told Fujimaru Ritsuka that King Solomon was approaching Chaldeas and that the final battle would begin after preparations were complete. While the staff rested, Mash asked Roman about the special Mystic Code, and Roman reflected on Ritsuka’s coming trial and his own past.

  • Roman congratulated Fujimaru Ritsuka for eliminating all seven Singularities and explained that King Solomon’s hidden Singularity had been found.
  • Roman said Chaldeas and King Solomon would make contact in about four hours, while the Spiritron Transfer frame needed roughly twenty hours to adjust, and ordered everyone to rest.
  • Leonardo carried the unconscious Lawrence away to recover, and the other Chaldeas staff also left to rest.
  • Mash asked Roman whether Fujimaru Ritsuka knew about the special Mystic Code, and Roman confirmed that he had consented to its creation.
  • After Mash left, Roman held Fou and reflected on his decade at Chaldea, Ritsuka’s repeated life-or-death trials, and the approaching ending.

Ch. 1632A Reminder from the New Counter Force

As the final battle approached, Lawrence spoke with the wounded New Counter Force in a dream and learned that Beast II had been replaced and Beast I needed no further Servants dispatched. He woke when Fujimaru Ritsuka arrived and led the group to a pitch-black Mystic Code.

  • Roman reflected on Solomon’s possible flaw while Lawrence recovered at Chaldea ahead of the final battle.
  • Lawrence dreamed of the New Counter Force, whose body was scorched and whose tea cup was shattered.
  • The New Counter Force told Lawrence that Beast II’s position had been filled again, but did not confirm his guess that the replacement was the Child of Fate.
  • The New Counter Force said Beast I was in the Temple of Time and that it would dispatch no more Servants, then vanished before explaining what Lawrence should do.
  • Leonardo da Vinci woke Lawrence when Fujimaru Ritsuka arrived, and Lawrence led Ritsuka and Mash to a pitch-black Mystic Code.
