Anno and the others defeated Wolf King Robert at the final trap, but let it crawl away as Cavall II followed it. Robert mistook Cavall II for Blanka before dissolving, and the Chaldeans prepared to head to Gunshaft Tower and face their remaining enemies.

  • Artoria drove the motorcycle over the final trap, and Wolf King Robert was caught as Anno struck it with his black holy sword.
  • Anno stopped Artoria from killing Robert, explaining that it could no longer find its vanished homeland and could not recognize Cavall II as anything but Blanka.
  • Cavall II caught up to the wounded Robert and licked it as Robert realized its homeland was gone and remembered its family.

Emiya Alter prepared Gunshaft Tower for Chaldea's attack while Moriarty insisted the timing was not right for his scheme. After Chaldea celebrated Cavall II's victory, Sherlock Holmes returned with Moriarty and said they had found something during their outing.

  • Sherlock Holmes warned that Moriarty might be able to control a meteor as a bullet, and Leonardo da Vinci began searching for larger celestial targets from 1999.
  • The group examined photographs of Emiya Alter’s defenses and concluded that a direct assault would expose them to overwhelming firepower.

  • Fujimaru Ritsuka launched a smoke bomb at Emiya’s forces, and Sherlock Holmes led the Coloratura Songstresses into the battle.
  • Emiya discovered that James Moriarty had been disguised as a Sparrow Bee, then let the group proceed toward the Gunshaft Tower.

As they advanced toward a powerful enemy upstairs, Leonardo da Vinci explained that Andersen saw in Ritsuka both an enduring childlike heart and the potential to destroy everything.

  • Mash detected Sparrow Bees, Coloratura Songstresses, King Lear, and Demonic Beast Chimeras inside the Gunshaft Tower, surprising Lawrence and the others.

Anno, Artoria, and Fujimaru Ritsuka’s group fought their way to the top of Gunshaft Tower, where they confronted the evil Moriarty. Moriarty revealed that killing him would end the Shinjuku Singularity, and Fujimaru ordered Saber to attack.

  • Anno and Artoria defeated Macbeth by piercing his Spirit Core with their swords.
  • Mash detected Emiya Alter following the group, but Anno and Artoria chose to press on past the three descending King Lears.

Anno, Artoria, and their allies defeated Evil Moriarty, who vanished after declaring it was time for his exit. Sherlock Holmes warned that the crisis was not over when the Holy Grail failed to appear and Demon God Pillars emerged atop Gunshaft Tower.

  • Evil Moriarty fought Chaldea's group while claiming that the battle's outcome had been predetermined.
  • Fujimaru Ritsuka, Mash, and Sherlock Holmes questioned the mismatch between Moriarty's powerful Saint Graph and his limited output.

Baal appeared at Gunshaft Tower and revealed that he had spent three thousand years planning to kill Fujimaru Ritsuka out of hatred. Sherlock Holmes connected Baal’s plan to an anomaly in human history and demanded to know how closely Baal was tied to James Moriarty.

  • Baal emerged in humanoid form at Gunshaft Tower and accused Fujimaru Ritsuka of ruining the Demon God Pillars’ three-thousand-year plan.
  • Anno and Artoria stood between Baal and Ritsuka as Baal declared that killing Ritsuka was his reason for destroying the world.
  • Holmes recognized Baal’s scheme as the anomaly Manlio had investigated and recalled the prediction that humanity would be destroyed in 2018 even without the Incineration of Humanity.

Moriarty revealed that he had betrayed the group and used Sherlock Holmes’s power to pursue his plan, while Anno’s apparent alliance with Ritsuka was exposed as a deception. The chapter ended with Anno identifying himself as the Saber of Shinjuku, implanted with the Phantom Spirit Laomedon the Great Deceiver and allied with Moriarty and Baal.

James Moriarty explained how he and Demon God Baal created an Imaginary City in Shinjuku to overcome the inevitability that Holmes would defeat him. Moriarty revealed that he had erased his memories and goodness to infiltrate the group, and the chapter ended with Emiya Alter appearing as Baal and Anno Alter were exposed.

  • Moriarty explained that Shinjuku was an Imaginary City where Phantom Spirits and Heroic Spirits could be fused.
  • Moriarty said he allied with Baal to kill Fujimaru Ritsuka, while Moriarty sought to surpass Sherlock Holmes.

He explained that he had gambled on this outcome by manipulating Baal and erasing both their memories, then left Ritsuka realizing the plan had been set in motion for his sake.

Moriarty revealed that he had made Fujimaru Ritsuka someone precious to him so he could use goodness to destroy goodness, while the magic bullet threatened Gunshaft Tower. As Artoria and Emiya left to try to stop the meteor, a mysterious laughing figure appeared before Moriarty.

  • Moriarty declared that he cherished Fujimaru Ritsuka and planned to crush goodness by becoming good, while claiming Sherlock Holmes was his power.
  • Artoria picked up Anno's Holy Sword, [Chalkiness of Sighs], and left with Emiya to combine their Holy Swords against the meteor.

Edmond Dantès, Jeanne d'Arc Alter, Shakespeare, and Andersen arrived at Gunshaft Tower as reinforcements for Fujimaru Ritsuka, startling Moriarty. Andersen said he had something to give Ritsuka, while Shakespeare confronted Moriarty about absorbing Sherlock Holmes.

  • Edmond Dantès arrived and urged Ritsuka to run through hell with him again.
  • Jeanne d'Arc Alter appeared beside Dantès, revealed that Lawrence's jewel elixir had helped her survive, and brought reinforcements.

William Shakespeare and Hans Christian Andersen summoned phantom detectives to help Fujimaru Ritsuka fight James Moriarty. The detectives offered their power to Fujimaru, telling him that only he could attack Moriarty.

  • William Shakespeare explained that James Moriarty had absorbed Sherlock Holmes and gained the advantage of Holmes's power.
  • William Shakespeare and Hans Christian Andersen unleashed their Noble Phantasms, summoning Phantom Spirits at the top of Gunshaft Tower.

Fujimaru Ritsuka and the Phantom Spirits fought James Moriarty after he drew on the Holy Grail’s power. As Artoria Alter and Emiya prepared to stop the falling Bennu Bird, Ritsuka stepped forward and accused Moriarty of being the culprit.

  • Jeanne d'Arc Alter recounted what had happened, and Moriarty revealed the Holy Grail’s magical energy as he prepared to fight seriously.
  • Lawrence weakened Moriarty with her Noble Phantasm and shielded Fujimaru Ritsuka while Edmond Dantès and Jeanne d'Arc Alter attacked him.

Moriarty realized that being exposed as the culprit weakened him, and learned that his attachment to the time he spent with Fujimaru Ritsuka had made his defeat inevitable. After Artoria and Emiya destroyed the Bennu Bird, Moriarty apologized to Ritsuka before disappearing, but Ritsuka refused to dismiss him as someone else.

  • Moriarty lost his strength when he acknowledged that he was the culprit, and he asked Fujimaru Ritsuka why his plan had failed.
  • Fujimaru Ritsuka, Lawrence, Mash, and Leonardo da Vinci explained that Moriarty had been happy while fighting alongside them, and Moriarty admitted that he had wavered because he had never experienced justice before.
