A broken, intermittent voice came from the electronic wristwatch. It belonged to a timid young man, and the wristwatch—packed with Chaldea's black technology—was even trying to project an image.
However, both the voice and the projected figure suffered from severe signal interference.
Yet for Fujimaru Tachibana, this was nothing less than a shot of adrenaline. The girl's eyes immediately lit up, and she hurriedly began adjusting the device and attempting to communicate.
This reserve Master desperately needed support from Chaldea right now. Ideally, they could send over some ridiculously powerful Master to solve everything directly so she could go back to slacking off.
Once Fujimaru Tachibana followed the procedures she had learned before and successfully established a connection with Chaldea, the person projected above the watch finally came fully into view.
Taking a closer look, she found that he was actually someone she knew: Dr. Romani, whom she had met at Chaldea before the Spiritron Transfer.
"Dr. Romani!" Fujimaru Tachibana cried out in delight.
Romani's eyes lit up as well. "!!! Is that you, Tachibana? Thank goodness, you're all right!"
Once two-way communication had been established, the projected image on the watch was still far from clear, but their voices could now be heard distinctly.
The image shifted to Chaldea's Command Room. Much of the place, once reduced to ruins, had already been repaired. Though plenty of equipment remained damaged, it could at least function as a command center again.
There were fewer than twenty people present in total, and it was only through all sorts of fantastical means that they had managed to restore it to this state. Chaldea's built-in artificial intelligence was also the only reason this shattered bastion of salvation could still operate.
