"Wendel!!!" Malken's eyes instantly turned bloodshot. "Die, die, just die!!!!"
The Viper that had sliced Wendel's fighter apart had barely turned its head when both of Malken's tracking missiles struck it at once!
"Boom!" The murderer was dead, but his brother would never return.
Staring at the debris around him, Malken felt as though a piece of his own heart had been torn away.
He swept his gaze across the battlefield. At some point, the 1,800 fighters had dwindled to almost nothing. Although the Zerg swarm had likewise been nearly wiped out, by this exchange ratio, humanity had effectively lost.
The Glaive Wurms launched by the Blade-Arm Mutalisks accurately struck fighter after fighter, while the Vipers' attacks were even more terrifying. Their launched tails could even drag high-speed fighters straight to their sides before effortlessly tearing them into pieces.
"Whoosh, whoosh..." Suddenly, two Glaive Wurms shot toward Malken from directly ahead.
Malken spun his fighter, narrowly dodging both attacks. Seeing the Blade-Arm Mutalisks charging madly at him in the center of the screen, he immediately pressed the button for the tracking missiles.
"Beep—beep—beep—" Yet the long warning tone from the fighter told him that its onboard missiles had already been used up!
With bloodshot eyes, Malken gritted his teeth and drove straight at the two Blade-Arm Mutalisks, his cannons spitting crimson fire.
The first Blade-Arm Mutalisk was blasted into fragments beneath the mad barrage of cannon fire. The second was badly wounded but not killed. As they passed each other, it slammed headlong into the fighter's tail.
Malken only heard the fighter's thrusters erupt with a thunderous roar. The entire fuselage shook, and flames instantly engulfed his vision...
After ten minutes of battle—or rather, eleven minutes and twenty-three seconds—the interceptors were completely destroyed!
