Surveillance of Lu Mingfei

Jiu De Mai first observes Lu Mingfei after he kills Zhao Hao, using Underworld Reflection to remain hidden. She and Su Enxi conclude that Lu Mingfei may have awakened and note his strong swordsmanship, while Mai cannot identify the nature of his abilities. 7

She is subsequently assigned to protect him during the Cangmang Mountain camping trip. Although she complains about becoming his bodyguard, she watches the students' campsite and keeps distance so Lu Mingfei will not detect her. 13

Cangmang Mountain and the Dead Servant Base

During the Dead Servant attack, Jiu De Mai provides overwatch and remains ready to intervene, but Su Enxi orders her not to eliminate Bai Yan prematurely so they can observe Lu Mingfei's hidden strength. 14 15

After Lu Mingfei destroys the swarm and pursues Bai Yan, she follows him to the hidden base. Her stealth fails inside the laboratory, where Lu Mingfei catches her with Zanshin at her throat. She convinces him she is connected to the combat-suited girl who aided him earlier, and he permits her to accompany him. 17

Jiu De Mai witnesses Lu Mingfei eliminate Li Yuan and the base researchers. She then tells him that Kassel College will handle the facility's aftermath, asks permission to leave, and finally gives him her name before departing. 18

Tokyo Operations

In Tokyo, Jiu De Mai and Su Enxi follow their boss's plan to guide Lu Mingfei toward Akihabara and facilitate his early meeting with Erii. She observes Lu Mingfei and Erii's tournament progress from a nearby high-rise. 35 37

When Erii becomes separated from her guardians, Jiu De Mai reports that the arranged shrine maiden outfit giveaway has been completed, helping create the confusion surrounding Erii's escape. 41
