Just as the many Seadrinkers were curiously sizing up Lu Qiming and the others outside, the crowd suddenly parted to open a path, and a young woman swam over. Her looks were no less striking than Jibril's and the others', yet her bearing was filled with both temptation and majesty. Two qualities that should have been completely contradictory blended perfectly in her, and the instant she appeared, she drew everyone's attention.

She was Amira, the acting queen of the Seadrinkers. Ever since the true queen of the Seadrinkers, Layla Lorelei, fell into slumber, the entire Seadrinker race had been under her rule, all the way to the present day.

Earlier, when Azriel split the sea apart, Amira had been the first to notice something was wrong and had hurriedly activated every Magic Circle within Oceanic. Only then had Oceanic avoided being cleaved open directly by Azriel's strike.

Otherwise, even with the protection of the Covenant ensuring that none of the Seadrinkers would be injured by Azriel's blow, Oceanic, as their capital, would still have been destroyed. More importantly, once Oceanic was destroyed and lost the last of its seawater, every Seadrinker would lose the ability to move, and if too much time passed, they would even die.
