Chapter Summaries

As the Elemental Vortex devoured more kingdoms, Claire, Cain, and their soldiers rescued civilians and restored order in a besieged city. Rias helped organize an evacuation for the children and pregnant women, while Claire and the others stayed behind to face the approaching vortex, where mysterious figures appeared.

• Cain and Gemu rescued Rias from an attacker and directed her to the soldiers’ refuge in the city square.

• Claire and her soldiers carried children from fleeing villagers toward the city, but the Elemental Vortex swallowed many adults who stayed behind.

• Lu Qiming considered killing the Fairy Tail World to advance his Adventurer profession, but promised Mavis and Zera he would not destroy it and told its newly awakened World Consciousness to use the elemental crisis to develop new power systems.

When Wiene transformed and the Loki Familia moved to subjugate her, Bell stepped in front of her, while Lu Qiming watched and declared that this was Bell’s trial.

• Dix explained that his bloodline drove him to complete the labyrinth, and that tormenting intelligent monsters had let him suppress its influence.
• Bell wounded Dix and demanded he free the Xenos, but Dix released them and arranged for Adventurers to attack, leaving Bell caught between the Xenos and Orario’s forces.
