Li Yu took control of the Lesser Grail and saved Irisviel after Kiritsugu surrendered. He then claimed Kiritsugu’s Command Spells and ordered Morgan to bring Saber to him, leaving Artoria captive and worried about Irisviel.

• Li Yu warned Kiritsugu that Irisviel would die if the remaining Servants’ magical energy returned to the Greater Grail, and Kiritsugu surrendered and asked him to save her.
• Da Vinci removed the Lesser Grail from Irisviel, and Li Yu filled it with magical energy while explaining that the Greater Grail was contaminated.
• Kiritsugu agreed to give Li Yu his Command Spells, and Li Yu took them and gained authority over Artoria.

In the cavern, Da Vinci proposed preserving her Spirit Origin so Li Yu could take her to another world, while Li Yu began studying the Greater Grail System.

• Morgan told Artoria that another version of Britain had become a Lostbelt and that her wish to save Britain had failed.
• Artoria checked that Irisviel was unharmed, then let Kiritsugu Emiya and Maiya Hisau leave with her.

• Tanjiro Kamado asked Li Yu who he was, and Li Yu explained that a spatial distortion had pulled him in from another world.

• Li Yu explored the commercial district in Lu City and realized that it was where Luo Hao lived.
• Luo Hao appeared and asked Li Yu whether he knew of any upcoming Heretic God descents.
• Li Yu revealed that Verethragna and Melqart would descend in Sardinia and that Heretic Gods remained in an alternate space near the neighboring islands.
• Luo Hao left to deal with the alternate-space threat and told her disciple Lu Huaying to arrange Li Yu’s travel to Sardinia.
• Li Yu teleported with Lu Huaying to the airport, where they boarded a private jet.

Li Yu traveled to Sardinia and found Verethragna, the Heretic God whose Authorities he wanted to acquire. After the two talked, Verethragna challenged Li Yu, and their battle began.

• Li Yu flew to Sardinia alone, then used Space Teleportation to reach the island, where many fighters had gathered for a Heretic God.
