Chapter Summaries

Li Yu returned from the Type-Moon world, caught up on messages from his friends, and visited Nangong Natsuki’s apartment. He reunited with Sakura and Xia Shi and learned the cursed children were settling into new homes, then heard Nangong Natsuki arrive with Hiratsuka Shizuka.

• Li Yu sent Abant to visit connected worlds, and most of the Flugel chose to join him.
• Li Yu learned that Sakayori Iroha had returned from a world of automaton dolls with new technology and three dolls, then sent her a huge collection of advanced technical files to study.
• Li Yu read Nangong Natsuki’s message inviting him over and went to her apartment after school.
• Xia Shi welcomed Li Yu, and Sakura used Space Magic to appear before him and excitedly told him Nangong Natsuki had taught her.
• Li Yu chatted with Sakura and Xia Shi, who told him the cursed children were doing well and many had found adoptive families.
• Nangong Natsuki arrived at the apartment with Hiratsuka Shizuka.

Li Yu told Nangong Natsuki and Shizuka Hiratsuka about his trip to another world and gave them technology that could connect communications across worlds. After taking Sakura and Xia Shi shopping and bringing them to school, Li Yu considered whether to bring Sakura’s sister Rin Tohsaka over, but decided to wait for Sakura to choose.

• Li Yu congratulated Shizuka Hiratsuka on reaching the seventh rank and explained that the Aeons in the world he visited were twelfth-rank beings.
• Li Yu described Asuna and the others’ experiences on the Path of Trailblaze, then gave Nangong Natsuki stellar-rail network technology for connecting worlds.
• Nangong Natsuki asked Li Yu to look after Sakura and Xia Shi, and he agreed to take them out for dinner and an evening of shopping.
• Li Yu took Sakura and Xia Shi back to his dormitory for the night and escorted them to school the next morning.
• Li Yu considered bringing Rin Tohsaka over but decided to wait until Sakura chose whether she wanted her sister to come.

Pandora entered A Certain Magical Index using Index’s body and fought the Demon Gods while severing their connection to the world. She claimed control of the world and left the Demon Gods weakened and with no apparent way to escape captivity.

• Li Yu checked on ITEM, then urged Pandora to settle the Demon God situation in A Certain Magical Index so the worlds could be connected.
• Pandora merged with Index, entered the dimensional passage, and warned Li Yu not to watch through causality because the Demon Gods might notice.
• Pandora met Aleister and covered the world with Magic Arrays that isolated people connected to the Demon Gods and severed the planet from the phases.
• Pandora attacked the Demon Gods with laws while rewriting the world's underlying code, as Laura Stuart recognized that someone had taken over Index's body.
• Pandora claimed complete control of A Certain Magical Index and dispelled the arrays, leaving the Demon Gods cut off from the world and their former power.

Pandora dealt with the Magic Gods, brought Kamijou Touma to Li Yu’s world, and helped remove Imagine Breaker from his right arm. After Kamijou returned to Academy City, Pandora kept Imagine Breaker as protection for their world.

• Pandora sent the Magic Gods back into the Throne of Heroes, announced her existence, and took Kamijou Touma from Academy City to Li Yu’s world.
• Li Yu told Kamijou Touma that his bad luck could be resolved, then guided him to transfer the power in his right arm into a glass case.
• Kamijou Touma lost Imagine Breaker and discovered he could use Water Breathing and supernatural powers without erasing them.
• Kamijou Touma asked to return to Academy City, and Li Yu sent him through a spatial passage.
• Pandora took Imagine Breaker and said it would serve as a fulcrum to protect their world from destruction.

Li Yu moved a submerged passage to a designated plaza on Boundary Island, then advised Sakayori Iroha and her classmates about preparing for their summer trip through a new Dimensional Rift. He left them with magic for maintaining long-distance contact and began considering how to strengthen Sakayori Iroha and the others.

• Pandora asked Li Yu to relocate the passage to the world of A Certain Magical Index, and he moved it to a plaza where it remained half-closed.
• Li Yu returned to school and opened a Spatial Passage beside Sakayori Iroha after she messaged him.
• Sakayori Iroha explained that her class would visit a medieval fantasy world over summer break and asked how they could stay in touch if separated.
• Li Yu discovered that the class had let their Hestia Familia marks fade, so he shared instructions for making the marks and encouraged them to learn the magic.
• Li Yu told Sakayori Iroha to keep studying and began considering finding an unfamiliar Kaguya Houraisan to use as nourishment for her, Asuna, and the others.

Li Yu traveled with Hestia and Index to the Dungeon world to see how Bell had rebuilt the Hestia Familia. He found Orario transformed by modern construction and learned Bell had recruited young people from Li Yu’s world, apparently because of Hestia.

• Nangong Natsuki coordinated with telecommunications companies to develop communication links between worlds using the star rails.
• Hestia brought Index to Li Yu and asked him to visit their world to see what Bell had done with the Familia.
• Li Yu agreed, released his God Slayer aura, and told Hestia he would only deal with gods who attacked him.
• Li Yu brought Hestia and Index through a spatial passage to Orario, where they saw the city’s extensive modernization and redevelopment.
• Li Yu contacted Bell and then appeared at the Hestia Familia’s residence, where Bell greeted him and Hestia.
• Li Yu sensed several young people from his world and asked Bell why they had joined; Bell said they had come on their own and seemed connected to Hestia.

Li Yu advised Bell on developing the Hestia Familia, then returned to his world and set out for Honkai: Star Rail. In the Sea of Quanta, he found Jhana, who had awakened with orders from Pandora to obey him, and brought her aboard Abant.

• Li Yu advised Bell to explore beyond Orario for valuable materials and to teach the Familia members what they could learn.
• Li Yu met Hestia's new Familia members and ate with them at the enlarged Hostess of Fertility before returning to his world.
• After Abant finished laying the star rail, Li Yu ordered it to travel toward the Type-Moon world and entered Honkai: Star Rail through its passage.
• Li Yu found Jhana awakening in the Sea of Quanta, and Pandora told him to take responsibility for her.
• Jhana told Li Yu that Pandora had ordered her to obey him unconditionally, so Li Yu brought her aboard Abant and introduced her to his companions.

Li Yu brought Jhana, the daughter of the Sea of Quanta, back to the library and began teaching her magic, which she mastered with extraordinary speed. He introduced her to Herta and the others, who were fascinated by her, and explained that Abant had gained the ability to lay Star Rails.

• Jibril proposed having a child with Li Yu to produce a powerful Flugel, but Li Yu told her to stop and took Jhana to the library.
• Li Yu gave Jhana introductory magic books and taught her spells during their journey back, while Jibril envied Jhana’s exceptional talent and strength.
• Li Yu brought Jhana outside to meet Herta and the others, who stared at her until Jhana used her Authorities to warn them off.
• Li Yu identified Jhana as the daughter of the Sea of Quanta, and the group discussed her unusual status and power.
• Lygus noticed Abant had changed, and Li Yu explained that it could now lay Star Rails but lacked the Astral Express’s other functions.

Li Yu warned Ruan Mei and the others that Jhana’s Honkai Energy could endanger the Universe, though Pandora assured him Honkai would not break out in this world. After the researchers left to study Honkai crystals and pursue their experiments, Asagi Aiba asked to travel to Li Yu’s world, and he agreed.

• Lygus said Li Yu could become the Aeon of Trailblaze, and Li Yu confirmed that he refused because he did not want to be bound to a Path.
• Ruan Mei asked about the unknown power within Jhana, and Li Yu identified its danger as Honkai Energy and warned that it grew stronger with civilization.
• Li Yu asked Pandora whether she had brought Jhana there to trigger a Honkai outbreak, and Pandora denied it.
• Herta caught the Honkai crystals Jhana threw at her, then Ruan Mei and the others left to study them while Li Yu inspected their research facilities.
• Asagi Aiba asked to follow the Astral Express to Li Yu’s world, and Li Yu agreed to find her a teacher.
• Asagi Aiba told Li Yu that Pandora had implanted information, Alaya had become a super artificial intelligence, and her team had nearly completed its mission.

Li Yu found a Sea of Quanta signal that might lead to Welt Yang’s home in an earlier time period, and Welt decided to return and change his past. When the Astral Express came back, Welt met Jhana and recognized her overwhelming Herrscher power, while Li Yu assured him she had not left Abant.

• The Scepter of the Emperor detected a Sea of Quanta signal that was a ninety-percent match for Welt Yang’s phone, and Li Yu sent Welt the coordinates with a warning that they might come from before his crossing.
• Welt Yang decided to return to his home world and change its future, including taking revenge on Otto, then hurried to meet Himeko and the others.
• Li Yu stayed on Abant with Jhana while the Scepter of the Emperor continued searching, and about a week later the Astral Express emerged from the Sea of Quanta.
• March 7th and Asagi Aiba came down from the Astral Express, followed by Welt Yang and the others, and Welt reacted to Jhana’s aura by identifying her as a Herrscher.
• Li Yu told Welt that he had found Jhana in the Sea of Quanta and had kept her on Abant, and Welt was relieved she had not been taken outside.

Herta confirmed that Jhana could control her Honkai energy, though an outbreak unleashed by her would threaten the entire Universe. As the group prepared to visit Welt Yang’s homeland, Li Yu considered bringing Vill-V and other Previous Era figures into the present; the chapter ended with Pom-Pom stepping off the Astral Express for the first time.

• Herta told Welt Yang that Jhana controlled her Honkai energy, but warned that an outbreak would grow stronger with technology and devastate the Universe.
• Welt Yang described the Honkai outbreak and Herrschers from his homeland, and Herta asked to join the trip there with Ruan Mei and the others.
• Li Yu considered asking Pandora to bring Vill-V and other Previous Era figures back from the Elysian Realm to help with future challenges.
• Li Yu gave Asagi Aiba files to study and said he would introduce her to Screwllum afterward.
• Himeko noticed that Abant felt more like the Astral Express, and Pom-Pom surprised everyone by stepping off the train.

Pom-Pom explored Li Yu’s Abant, and the Astral Express crew prepared to travel aboard it with Herta and Ruan Mei. Li Yu then visited Asagi Aiba, promised to arrange her studies in Aether Editing Technology, and heard her question Jhana’s identity and his intentions.

• Pom-Pom explored Abant with March 7th and Stelle, while Li Yu explained that it could lay star rails and had other powerful capabilities.
• Herta and Ruan Mei prepared to accompany Li Yu, while Screwllum and Lygus stayed behind to watch the base.
• Li Yu sent Abant ahead to lay star rails as the Astral Express followed, and the crew stayed aboard Abant to play and study magic.
• Li Yu took Jhana to Asagi Aiba’s residence, where Asagi discussed the Interastral Peace Corporation network and her interest in Aether Editing Technology.
• Li Yu promised to arrange Asagi’s training, and Asagi asked whether Jhana had a complicated identity and whether Li Yu was stringing the others along.

Li Yu agreed to help Welt Yang find Kevin in the Sea of Quanta and also went to rescue Syr. After Su revealed Kevin’s location, Li Yu entered Syr’s World Bubble, where Veliona woke her and she confronted him warily.

• Asagi learned Jhana was Pandora’s companion, while Li Yu explained in the group chat that he and Yukino had gotten together before arriving in this world.
• Li Yu told Asagi he would seek the Key of Erosion in another world and reforge it for her.
• Welt Yang asked Li Yu to rescue Kevin, and Li Yu agreed as Abant searched the surrounding World Bubbles.
• Su observed the group, realized the future had changed, and sent Li Yu Kevin’s coordinates.
• Li Yu traveled to the nearby World Bubble to find the sleeping Syr, but Veliona woke her and Syr took a guarded stance against him.

Li Yu rescued Syr from the Sea of Quanta and brought her and Kevin Kaslana to meet Welt Yang and the others. Kevin learned they came from the future and agreed to help change history, then recognized Jhana as a Herrscher and realized she was far beyond his ability to defeat.

• Li Yu explained to Syr and Veliona that he knew Bronya and offered to take Syr out of the world bubble; Syr agreed to go with him.
• Kevin arrived, and Li Yu told him that the Honkai had been overcome in the future by a Kaslana girl who sealed herself on the moon.
• Li Yu brought Kevin and Syr to town, where Welt Yang explained the future and Kevin accepted that the group had traveled back in time.
• Kevin agreed to cooperate with Welt Yang in changing tragedies, and Welt Yang revealed his hope to make the world better.
• Jhana appeared, and Kevin recognized her as a Herrscher before Welt Yang warned him that she was harmless and too powerful for him to defeat.

Li Yu rescued Griseo from her crashed ship after receiving her distress signal, and she reunited with Kevin aboard Abant. Kevin told her that Honkai had been defeated, though Griseo mourned the Flame-Chasers who would never know of their victory.

• Li Yu and his companions decoded a distress signal that Kevin recognized as Griseo’s call for help during Project ARK.
• Li Yu traveled to a lifeless planet, found Griseo in cryosleep aboard her crashed ship, and brought her and the ship back to Abant.
• Griseo reunited with Kevin after fifty thousand years and asked about his presence in space.
• Kevin told Griseo that Honkai had been defeated and explained how the future had unfolded.
• Griseo mourned Elysia, Mobius, and the other Flame-Chasers, while Kevin said they could tell the Elysian Realm about the victory.

Li Yu and Welt Yang arrived at Changkong City during the Third Honkai Eruption and planned to prevent the disaster, while Kevin headed back with Gray, Herta, and Ruan Mei to visit the Elysian Realm. The chapter left Jhana preparing to suppress the Honkai energy gathering in the city.

• Herta learned that Vill-V’s consciousness remained in the Elysian Realm and offered to revive her, while Ruan Mei became interested in the fusion-soldier technology.
• Abant reached the far side of the moon, where Li Yu discovered that a Honkai outbreak was beginning in Changkong City.
• Welt Yang decided to intervene and change the course of the outbreak, while Kevin chose to return to World Serpent with Gray.
• Herta and Ruan Mei joined Kevin and Gray aboard the repaired ship to travel to the Elysian Realm.
• Li Yu led the Astral Express Crew and Asagi Aiba through a passage to Changkong City, where Jhana agreed to halt the Honkai’s emergence and absorb the city’s Honkai energy.

Li Yu's group split up to investigate Changkong City, while Asagi Aiba began subduing the Key of Erosion, Jizo Mitama. Li Yu later joined Himeko's team at Chiba Academy, where the group faced the problem of getting past security during class.

• Jhana drew in Changkong City's Honkai energy, creating a purple sky and alarming organizations worldwide before the energy vanished.
• Welt Yang sent Himeko's team to find Kiana and Mei at Chiba Academy, while Li Yu took Asagi Aiba and Jhana to retrieve the Key of Erosion.
• Pom-Pom discovered that Sunday had been overlooked and found him content to stay on Abant and study magic.
• Li Yu revealed Jizo Mitama from a hidden space and warned Jhana not to absorb so much Honkai energy that Yae Sakura's soul disappeared.

Li Yu brought March 7th, Syr, Stelle, and Himeko into Chiba Academy, where Bronya spotted Syr through the school’s cameras and hurried to meet her. The group reached Mei and Kiana’s classroom, where Mei was being ostracized, and called both girls outside.

• Li Yu persuaded the guard to let the group enter Chiba Academy by saying March 7th and Syr were prospective students and he and Himeko were their guardians.
• Syr asked Li Yu to help her find Bronya, and he explained that Bronya had been searching for a way to save her from the Sea of Quanta.
• Bronya recognized Syr on the school cameras and immediately went to confirm her identity in person.
• Li Yu led the group toward Mei and Kiana’s classroom while using his power to keep nearby students from paying them much attention.
• Li Yu called Mei and Kiana out of the classroom, and both girls followed him while their classmates watched in confusion.

Li Yu revealed that Mei's father had been framed and illegally detained as part of a plot to awaken the Conquest Gem inside her, while he showed Kiana that Siegfried had been secretly watching her. Mei learned that her father had genuinely embezzled money, leaving her stunned.

• Li Yu led Mei and Kiana to the rooftop by offering information about their fathers, while Kiana happily held Mei's hand until Li Yu's teasing made Mei let go.
• Li Yu told Mei that her father had been illegally detained to provoke her awakening, then pointed Kiana toward Siegfried, who had been watching her nearby.
• Kiana entered Li Yu's Spatial Passage, kicked Siegfried, and then embraced him in tears as he let her vent her anger.
• Li Yu explained that Cocolia had targeted Mei to awaken the Conquest Gem implanted in her, and Mei realized the trouble at school had been part of a conspiracy.

Mei learned that her father had embezzled money to fund technology for her, then discovered that Li Yu had come to help her and Kiana control their Herrscher powers. The chapter left Mei wondering whether Kiana was also a Herrscher.

• Mei feared her father had used embezzled money to support a mistress, but Li Yu explained that Raiden Ryoma had spent it on research to protect her.
• Li Yu reassured Mei that Raiden Ryoma was safe and said he had come to see her and Kiana because they could become dangerous Herrschers.
• Bronya arrived on the rooftop, and she and Syr joyfully reunited and embraced.
• Mei offered to die if removing the gem in her body would protect her father and the city, but Li Yu said its removal would kill her.
• Li Yu explained that Mei could learn to master the power within her and said Kiana would need to join them too, prompting Mei to ask if Kiana was also a Herrscher.
