"You don't intend to come out?" Lu Yu spoke again. His tone remained calm, but a faint chill had appeared in his eyes.
Just then, a faint sound of footsteps came from deep within the shadows ahead. The steps were exceedingly light, like a feather falling to the ground, yet in this silent environment, they sounded exceptionally clear.
"Tap, tap, tap..."
A figure slowly emerged from the shadows.
The girl wore a black robe, with a silver-white sash at her waist. Her long hair cascaded like a waterfall, radiating a faint, ghostly glow. Her face was veiled by a thin layer of gauze, revealing only a pair of eyes as deep as the stars. Her gaze was terrifyingly calm, like a bottomless lake.
Lu Yu stared at her, his brows knitting slightly. He was certain that this girl had never appeared within the range of his senses, as though she had appeared here out of thin air. What concerned him even more was how strange she felt. She was clearly standing there, yet seemed so indistinct that she could not be grasped.
"Who are you?" Lu Yu asked in a low voice, with an unquestionable authority faintly underlying his tone.
The girl stopped five steps away from him and calmly watched him. Rather than answering, she tilted her head slightly. "And who are you?"
Lu Yu's gaze cooled slightly at her words. He watched her for a long while before suddenly smiling. "Interesting. It seems you have no intention of voluntarily telling me who you are."
The girl remained indifferent, her voice carrying a gentle softness. "Why are you so curious about my identity? Don't you think there are far too many things in this world that cannot be seen clearly with one's eyes and ears?"
"Cannot be seen clearly?"
