As mentioned before, Wang Dashan did not actually understand Astartes Space Marines—or rather, he knew nothing at all about the Warhammer world. Everything he knew came from the relevant knowledge provided by the God Hall after he exchanged for the Astartes Space Marine enhancement surgery.

Based on that Warhammer knowledge, Wang Dashan came to understand just how twisted, insane, and despairing that world was, and that the Astartes Space Marine enhancement path, which looked incredibly impressive, was in fact nowhere near as high-level as he had imagined!

In the Warhammer world, while some exceptional Astartes Space Marines possessed strength beyond that of their peers, overall, they were still a relatively mature mass-produced type of soldier used by the Imperium of Man, numbering in the millions. Before the Horus Heresy, the Imperium of Man had twenty legions led by twenty Primarchs, each containing 100,000 to 500,000 Astartes Space Marines. And that only counted the legion forces commanded by the Primarchs, excluding the Adeptus Custodes directly under the Emperor and the Sisters of Silence. The Adeptus Custodes were far stronger than Astartes Space Marines; a single Custodian was equal to dozens of ordinary Astartes Space Marines, and they possessed the most advanced weapons and equipment, such as grav-skiffs and heavy Dreadnought armor. The Sisters of Silence, meanwhile, were responsible for anti-psyker operations and internal security.

Beyond that, the Imperium of Man possessed several million Titan-class war machines and tens of thousands of capital warships. Note that the capital warships mentioned here were Gloriana-class star battleships, capital vessels capable of serving as legion flagships. As for the mortal-level Imperial Guard and Ecclesiarchy forces, their numbers were measured in the tens of billions.

The Imperium of Man occupied roughly two-thirds of the entire Milky
