Dean's eyes nearly split with rage as he watched the surging, tidal wave-like black demon mist above the distant ruins, along with the teeth-grinding explosions and sounds of destruction that kept coming from within. His heart nearly leaped out of his chest.
Only one thought remained in his mind: charge in and find his brother, dead or alive!
Every muscle in his body tensed as he prepared to sprint toward that area, which resembled the entrance to hell itself.
"Get in. The ruins are huge. If you run there, it'll be too late by the time you arrive."
Wu Heng's calm, utterly unruffled voice came from the driver's seat, like a bucket of ice water poured over Dean's boiling impulse.
Dean abruptly turned around and saw that Wu Heng was already in the driver's seat, the engine letting out a low growl.
"Lohr, it's too dangerous in there. You only came to help me, not to get yourself killed. With this many demons, I'm not even sure I'll make it out alive. I can't drag you into this. It's too dangerous in there!" Dean roared. He had to go in, because he was Sam's brother, and his beloved little brother was in there.
But he did not want to drag this ally, who had helped him out of friendship, into even greater danger.
"I'm not an idiot. I won't gamble with my life," Wu Heng replied softly. His gaze remained calm as he looked toward the demon-ravaged ruins ahead. "Get in, Dean. If you go in on foot, you won't last ten seconds."
There was an unquestionable certainty in his tone.
