"Castiel," Dean took a deep breath and decided to stop hiding it, "we need to talk about Lilith, and... the Apocalypse Seal."
Between the two of them, he and Sam told the angel everything they knew about Lilith's scheme, the remaining seals keeping reality stable, and the impending danger of those seals being broken, in as much detail as possible.
"...If the seals are completely broken, Hell's power will flood into the human world on a massive scale. It'll be a disaster that sweeps across the entire globe. Countless people will die," Sam concluded grimly. "While we search for clues about our mother, we have to stop this."
Castiel listened in silence. There was no emotional fluctuation in his inhuman eyes. Only after the two had finished did he slowly speak. "Preventing the Apocalypse and maintaining the Creator's order are also among my duties."
"Heaven will not stand by and let Hell's forces run rampant. I will help you search for clues, whether they concern Lilith or your mother."
His promise allowed Dean and Sam to breathe a little easier.
