Castiel suddenly let out a pained grunt. His body convulsed violently, and his phone nearly slipped from his hand.

Two completely different expressions flashed across his face as they struggled against each other: Castiel's usual calmness, and Jimmy Novak's own anxiety, fear, and overwhelming desire to protect his family.

The original consciousness of this body had erupted in fierce resistance upon hearing that his wife and daughter were in danger, trying to seize back control of the body.

"Castiel, what's wrong?" Sam immediately noticed something was off and stepped forward to steady his swaying body.

Castiel forcibly suppressed the body's resistance. His face turned exceptionally grim as he spoke into the phone in as steady a tone as possible. "Stay where you are. Keep calm. I'll be there right away."

After hanging up, Castiel took a deep breath and looked at Dean and Sam, his gaze complicated. "Demons. They kidnapped Jimmy's wife and daughter."

"Damn it, those bastards!" Dean cursed, immediately checking his weapons. "Address. We're going now!"

"But your body..." Sam looked at Castiel worriedly. He could sense the turmoil in the other man's aura.

"We have to go." Castiel's tone was resolute, heavily influenced by Jimmy's consciousness. "This is... my responsibility and promise." The last few words did not seem to come entirely from the angel.

He had promised this body that he would protect his family.

Without wasting a second, the three of them rushed out of the church, jumped into the Impala, and sped toward Jimmy Novak's home.

Dean floored the gas pedal, and the engine roared beneath the night sky.

However, while they were driving, Castiel suddenly jerked his head up from the passenger seat and stared into the pitch-black sky beyond the window. An expression of extreme surprise
