"How much is left?" Wu Heng asked.
Ryan closed his eyes and sensed it. "Two thousand seven hundred years. I have to say, as expected of a special guest—your foundation is quite solid."
"All in," Wu Heng said.
The room fell silent for a moment.
"Two thousand seven hundred years, decided in one hand?" Ryan confirmed.
"Yes."
Ryan licked his lips.
Even after living for centuries, wagers of this magnitude were rare. But he was confident. His ability made him nearly invincible.
"Deal."
The game soon reached its final round. The community cards were the three of hearts, six of spades, nine of diamonds, jack of clubs, and king of hearts—seemingly scattered and unrelated.
Wu Heng held the two of diamonds and seven of hearts, a completely worthless hand. Ryan, meanwhile, held the king of spades and king of clubs; together with the king of hearts on the board, he had three kings, with victory firmly in hand.
Wu Heng had not looked at his cards throughout the game. He merely waited calmly for the reveal.
"Show them," Ryan said with a broad smile, waiting to collect the two thousand seven hundred years of lifespan.
Wu Heng revealed the two of diamonds and seven of hearts first. A confident smile appeared on Ryan's face. "It seems your luck isn't very good either."
He then revealed his three kings.
"Don't rush." Wu Heng tapped the table lightly with his fingertips. "Before the bet, we agreed on the right to complete the card layout. The community cards lack an eight, so my seven of hearts can be upgraded by leveraging that into a 'straight-linking card,' combining with the three, six, nine, jack, and king to form a three-to-king straight."
Ryan's expression changed drastically, but he had no way to refute it.
