Graz raised his head and spat a mouthful of black, blood-mixed phlegm at Eve's feet, a mocking smile curling his lips. "Who do you think you are, monster? We serve the great—"
Eve reached out, her pale hand gently pressing against Graz's short-horned forehead.
"Ah—!!!" Graz's curse turned into an utterly agonized scream.
Dark golden energy, seemingly alive, surged from Eve's palm and burrowed into Graz's skull.
His body began to swell violently like an inflated balloon, his skin stretched translucent to reveal the frantically multiplying, twisted, mutated flesh beneath.
His shoulder blades burst through his skin with a wet rip, but instead of spreading into wings, they grew and branched wildly, becoming several erratically flailing bone spikes with sharp tips.
His face melted and re-formed. Three yellow eyes of varying sizes forced their way out across his forehead and cheeks, while his mouth tore sideways, sprouting several layers of interlocking fangs.
A thick, scaled tail suddenly shot out from his coccyx, slamming against the ground and shattering the floor tiles.
Throughout the process, horrifying sounds of bones cracking and reassembling and flesh squirming continued without pause.
The other three restrained demons watched helplessly as their companion became, within a dozen seconds, a completely indescribable mass of twisted flesh radiating a chaotic, evil aura.
The screaming stopped.
That thing staggered to its feet, nearly twice as tall as before.
Fragments of Graz's leather vest still clung to its body. It turned toward Eve, all its eyes stripped of their former demonic cunning and ferocity, leaving behind only hollow obedience.
Then, with a thud, it dropped to its knees at Eve's feet like a mountain of flesh and lowered its head.
The scene fell completely silent.
The other three demons had gone deathly pale. The hybrids restraining them loosened their grip
