The steel plates in the walls curled and tore like paper, the roof beams snapped, and chunks of concrete fell like rain.
The ground shook violently, cracks spreading outward like a spiderweb.
The entire building was collapsing, yet the white light continued to intensify.
It erupted from the opening, gathering in midair into a pillar of light. The pillar expanded to three meters in diameter, and countless shadows could vaguely be seen churning within it.
Twisted humanoid forms, mutated beasts, unnameable monsters—all the shadows were screaming, their cries merging into a deafening roar.
