The doors slid open automatically, revealing a simple room: a table, a chair, and a display mounted on the wall. The screen was divided into two columns, showing two real-time data streams:
Lucifer's power analysis progress: 87%.
Michael's power analysis progress: 91%.
Devouring plan simulation completion: 43%.
Wu Heng sat down in the chair and pulled up today's analysis report.
Black and white crystals rotated within the virtual interface, dense streams of data scrolling beside them: energy density, waveform characteristics, rule affinity, soul imprint strength...
His gaze paused on the "soul imprint" entry.
Lucifer's imprint depth: Level 9.7.
Michael's imprint depth: Level 9.9.
Too high.
This meant that even if their physical bodies were annihilated and their power drained dry, their soul imprints might still remain—like watermarks left on burned paper, reappearing under certain conditions. To devour them completely, the imprints had to be erased as well.
Wu Heng opened another file.
Its title read: "Castiel—Leviathan Hybrid Observation Report."
There were three photographs in the file.
The first had been taken outside a Sioux Falls warehouse. In the blurred night, it showed Castiel's retreating figure. After enhancement, faint corrosion marks could be seen on the ground beneath his feet.
The second had been taken a week ago, somewhere in a Nevada desert.
Castiel hovered in midair, and behind him loomed a massive, indistinct phantom. It resembled a whale, a giant serpent, or some kind of deep-sea monster. The phantom appeared for only 0.3 seconds before he forcibly suppressed it back into his body.
The third had been taken yesterday, on a New York street.
He looked no different from before, but a close-up of his eyes revealed a pale yellow glow deep within his pupils. This was a characteristic of Leviathan energy.
At the end of the file was a
