Mammon raised a hand and pressed it against the dark-gold crystal core. The core flashed, and the tiny specks of light within began flowing faster.

"What is there to fear?" he said coldly. "Wait for them to come."

He turned and looked at the row of Demonized Angels being modified.

"Let them come."

Beneath the Dead Sea, at the entrance to hell, four in the morning.

This had once been a forbidden place of pilgrimage for ancient humans, the legendary gate leading to hell.

Over the past century, countless explorers had tried to delve inside, only to return empty-handed. It was not that they could not find the entrance—it was that once they found it, they remained there forever.

Now, the gate stood open.

Not willingly. It had been smashed open.

Isaac stood at the entrance, looking down at the shattered fragments of the dark barrier beneath his feet. This was the closest point to Crowley's palace. Entering from here would save a great deal of travel compared to entering through the hell entrance controlled by the demon hunters.

The fragments were still smoking. Dark-red light flowed across the ground like traces left behind by cooled lava.

The glowing cracks on Isaac's hands were ten times brighter than usual. Scorching energy leaked through his fingers, warping the surrounding air with heat.

Behind him stood a vast sea of people.
