Hans stared at the screen, his fingers flying across the keyboard. The numbers on the screen jumped and changed every second.
"The concentration of dark energy in the lower levels of Hell has risen by three hundred percent." His fingers never stopped as he spoke urgently. "Three thousand high-level demon signatures have appeared, along with ten thousand low-level demon signatures. The numbers are still increasing."
Martin stood behind him, his expression grim. "Three thousand high-level demons? Where would Hell get that many high-level demons?"
"They seem to be coming from the bottom level of Ice Prison. Those old things that have been imprisoned for over a hundred years were awakened by the dark energy." Hans pulled up an image covered in densely packed red dots. "And the Holy Light Restriction on the garrison... is failing."
Martin froze. "What?"
Hans enlarged the image.
Beside the green points representing Hell's garrison, some began flashing red. "The dark energy is tampering with the restriction. The demon hunters affected by it... will lose control."
Before he could finish, Thomas shouted through the communicator, "The base is in revolt! Someone has lost control!"
