Wu Heng felt as if he had passed through a barrier; his vision went black and his body felt weightless. When his sight returned, he was in a void of black space. He looked down and saw he had returned to his original form, bare-chested, with two hollow wounds on his ribs.
Wu Heng felt a twinge of regret; he should have redeemed that tattered trench coat as well.
Text began to emerge before his eyes:

Note: Items carried from the plot world—Ice Crystal Ball, alloy briefcase, and 100-year-old wild ginseng—have been placed in the space.
Wu Heng felt a slight pain in his arm. Looking down, a lighthouse-shaped mark was slowly emerging on his forearm. He reached out to the mark with his consciousness.
A personal information panel appeared:
Lighthouse ID: SL914
Identity: Tower Guardian
Strength: ** Tier (Please test and upload in the Lighthouse Testing Room.)
Survival Points: 8,397.
At the same time, he sensed the existence of a one-cubic-meter space containing the crystal ball, the briefcase, and the five ginseng roots.
Wu Heng had specifically arranged for his butler to purchase these five ginseng roots at a high price, spending several million pounds to acquire them.
He had considered that he would be penniless upon returning to the real world, and having grown accustomed to throwing money around in the plot world, it was best to bring some back.
Money from the plot world was different from real-world currency. Wu Heng had originally planned to carry gold, but firstly, he didn't know when he would return, and secondly, there was a limit to what one could carry. Gold was exchanged based on weight; selling a small amount was fine, but selling a large quantity might lead to trouble if the shop reported it and traced it back to him, making it impossible to explain.
Thus, he had spent a fortune to carry the five 100-year-old wild ginseng roots. According to his predecessor's memories, a single 100-year-old wild ginseng root had sold for a high price of three million in this world.
[World settlement complete, settlement space will disappear in 10 seconds.]
[Select return: Reality, Lighthouse]
Wu Heng recalled what the fat man had said: the space between the Lighthouse and reality was synchronized. That meant if he returned to the Lighthouse and wasted time, the people outside might have already seen him disappear, which would likely lead them to leave and expose him.
"Return to reality."
Wu Heng felt a wave of dizziness, and his consciousness blurred.
In the dim basement.
The woman in the nurse's uniform gently set down the syringe, watching the young man before her slowly close his eyes.
She softly took out a scalpel and wiped Wu Heng's chest with alcohol.
A perverted smile curled onto the nurse's beautiful, tech-enhanced face as she slowly brought the scalpel toward Wu Heng's chest.
Lying on the dirty operating table, having been injected with drugs and already on the verge of losing consciousness, Wu Heng suddenly snapped his eyes open, his gaze filled with ferocity.
Like a lion waking from its slumber, he no longer possessed the desperate, decadent air he had a second ago, his eyes locked onto the nurse.
"You... you..."
The nurse was startled by the clear, piercing gaze Wu Heng fixed upon her, as if he had risen from the dead. She instinctively took a step back, pointing the scalpel at him, stammering.
Wu Heng could feel the power surging through his body. He had only transformed into Dean in the plot world; his actual body remained his own, and naturally, he had brought back the power of the Cursed Disciple.
Wu Heng exerted force throughout his body, and with a tearing sound, he broke free from the leather straps binding his hands and feet, rolling over to stand up.
In the blink of an eye, Wu Heng reached out his left hand and clamped it onto the woman's right hand, which held the scalpel.
"Little girl, you are the first person I've seen since I opened my eyes."
Wu Heng spoke, guiding the woman's hand to plunge the scalpel she held into her own chest.
"Let's walk this final mile together!"
Ah! The woman let out a shrill scream.
Wu Heng gripped the woman's throat with his right hand and applied a slight force; crack, the scream came to an abrupt end.
The woman's body went limp.
Wu Heng used his Siphon ability, and the shriveled, sunken wound at his waist healed rapidly; the stitches were pushed out from beneath his skin and fell to the floor.
The pain in his body vanished completely, replaced by the lightness of someone who had just recovered from a grave illness.
Wu Heng tossed the woman aside and turned to walk toward the door.
"Oh, right, Qianqian." The voice of the refined man sounded from the doorway.
The refined man had turned back, seemingly to add something, only to see the meat-pig that should have been lying on the operating table standing on the floor.
"How dare you stand up? Where is Qianqian?"
The man barked, his voice laced with urgency.
In his eyes, even if this injured meat-pig stood up, it was useless—just a lamb waiting for the slaughter. He felt nothing but contempt from the bottom of his heart, merely curious about where his girlfriend had gone.
The refined man scanned the room, finally spotting what looked like a desiccated corpse under the bed; judging by the clothing, it appeared to be his girlfriend, Qianqian.
"You damn beast, what did you do to Qianqian?"
"Qianqian!"
The refined man was finally afraid. Seeing the tragic state of his girlfriend, he shed tears and turned to flee.
"Running ahead is against the rules!"
Like a starving tiger pouncing on its prey, Wu Heng grabbed the fleeing refined man and hoisted him into the air.
As the refined man struggled incessantly, Wu Heng slammed him straight down into the floor with force.
A crunching sound of bone fractures echoed from the refined man's legs.
"Ah! You'll go to hell, you damn meat-pig!"
The refined man cursed in agony.
"Hell? I've already been there!"
As Wu Heng spoke, he used the scalpel in his right hand to slice open the refined man's chest.
"You like hearts, don't you?"
"No... no, I don't like them."
The refined man begged in terror.
"You were clearly very excited."
"Come, listen to the evil voice from the depths of your soul."
Wu Heng held the refined man's still-beating heart to his ear. Blood stained his cheeks as the refined man lost his breath.
A refined scoundrel; who knows how many innocent lives you harmed before meeting your retribution at my hands.
Wu Heng tossed the refined man to the ground and let out a cold snort.
