The two once again used their powers to accelerate the dissolution of Rot Mountain, and the entire mineral vein began surging upward again.
This time, they saw with their own eyes the Chikuai Silver-sealed objects piled atop the mountain. Like candied hawthorn being made, they were wrapped in the black magma melting around them, forming chunk after chunk of black stone.
These stones radiated an eerie, frigid aura.
"It worked. They've fused with the mineral vein. Quick, look at its growth rate," Night Rain said excitedly.
The two made some comparisons—or rather, there was no need to compare at all, because this time, the mineral vein had grown nearly five times faster than before.
It had visibly risen by a huge amount, yet the consumption of the decaying liquid had not increased by much.
"This is great, Old Rain!"
"Our idea was right. As long as this underdeveloped mineral vein is fertilized with 'Chikuai Silver and anomalies,' it can grow far beyond its normal scale."
"We still have a chance to go back," Spirit Sacrifice said excitedly.
Night Rain dug through the dirt and pulled back out the Chikuai Silver that had sunk into the mountaintop, along with some of the pieces they had buried earlier.
Clearly, what the mineral vein could accept was the mountain mass wrapped around anomalous relics.
As for the Chikuai Silver coating its outer layer, it could not absorb an unlimited amount either. Once it exceeded a certain thickness, it would still fail to fuse.
This created a problem.
To cultivate the mineral vein, they needed not only a large quantity of Chikuai Silver, but also a large number of anomalous relics.
For people in the Bleakscape like them, anomalous relics only needed to be caught. The Bleakscape lacked everything except anomalies!
