"That's a pretty good chainsaw. Maybe it really can take on the Devil!" Wu Heng said softly.
"Buddy, I was just joking around. There aren't any demons or devils in this world."
Ash carried the chainsaw, feeling as though with it in hand, he was invincible.
But he knew his own limits. He had only been talking big, so he called for everyone to leave the cabin and follow Linda.
"You go ahead. I won't be going. It's rather dark outside, and I can sense evil." Wu Heng casually threaded another skewer of beef and declined to go with them.
"Don't do that, Mr. Gerard. Haven't you watched horror movies? The person who goes off alone is always the first to get killed. Out here in these deep woods, there might be some psycho killer."
"I think we'd better stick together!" Ash and Scott urged him together.
"No. For now, the cabin is still safe. But take this wooden token. It can suppress certain negative forces."
Wu Heng took a reddish-brown wooden token engraved with a snowflake pattern from his clothes and tossed it through the air to Ash.
Ash caught it instinctively and looked it over. It was an exquisitely crafted wooden token, even with a cord made of gold.
At that moment, Cheryl urgently said, "Hurry and catch up! Linda's getting too far away, and it's very dark outside!"
Worried about his girlfriend, Ash had no time to say anything else. He hurriedly grabbed the chainsaw and rushed outside with the other three.
"Come on, hurry up. You can't wake a sleepwalker, or I heard they'll become mentally impaired," Sherry said softly from the side.
Wu Heng did not care at all that the four of them had gone out, because he knew they would be back shortly.
