"It looks like they found us!" Wu Heng glanced outside.
Anita's heart instinctively lurched, and that previous feeling of despair instantly surged back. Yet her will and sensory organs immediately took control of her body. Fear amplified her strength.
"Looks like you've got it under control." Wu Heng had barely finished speaking.
Anita suddenly shouted, "Watch out!"
As she spoke, a blackish-gray spider limb, like a shadow, shot out from behind her and stabbed toward Wu Heng.
He did not move from where he stood.
The limb condensed from fear grazed Wu Heng's face, passed through, and plunged into the wall behind him.
Amid a terrifying shriek, Wu Heng turned around and saw a tall, hunched black figure half-emerging from the wall, its abdomen pierced.
It then pulled itself free of the wall and fled from the other side.
Anita's power had not damaged the wall.
Wu Heng had naturally noticed the shadow behind him long ago, but he had pretended not to know because he wanted to see how Anita would perform. So far, she was doing well.
"Not bad. You've already learned how to use the power of fear. Leave the enemies outside to you."
"They're just some weaklings from the Satan cult. If you can't even handle them, then there's no point talking about revenge afterward."
Wu Heng pointed outside the door.

The iron door was flung open by a gust of cold wind, and whatever had been in the wind vanished with the impact.
Anita also saw what was outside.
A group of people in robes that concealed their faces stood silently outside, surrounding the entire Mandala Apartments.
They held dead dogs on leashes.
The dogs' bodies had already rotted away. They remained completely motionless, almost like specimens.
