As Kevin worked, hearing no other movement, he curiously looked back and saw Jeff still standing where he was. He immediately snapped, "Why are you just standing there instead of helping?"
"There seems to be a self-destruct mechanism here. Machines like this usually have one. I think this is the button, right?" Facing Kevin's accusation, Jeff pointed to a yellow button on the wall protected by a safety cover.
"Damn it, fuck you! Were you just waiting for me to do it myself so you could watch?"
"After all, I'm not in the habit of killing children!" Jeff spread his hands.
In truth, for these children, Kevin's method might have spared them greater suffering. Death came faster that way.
But it also concerned the changes in the two men's minds.
Personally ending them was a form of psychological torment for Kevin. He had children of his own, so he understood that feeling all too well.
"Stop dragging this out. Start it already." Kevin cursed and flipped Jeff the middle finger.
Jeff mocked Kevin on the surface, but he had his own hesitation inside. He did not want to press the button, but it was the best solution before them. In the end, he still reached out and pressed it.
Red warning lights instantly began flashing throughout the corridor, and a countdown started blaring. The three of them swiftly left the underground laboratory together.
They had just solemnly promised Satan that both sides would cooperate sincerely, yet less than a minute later, the three had completely forgotten everything they had discussed and screwed Satan over again.
Having lost the demon army before its eyes, while also watching its Sons of Satan across various places continuously devoured by the Goat-Man Devil, Satan was probably furious enough to stomp in rage by now.
