In Li Wei's office, the three young ones sat upright.
Ron quietly observed their surroundings, while Harry's gaze remained fixed on a certain blonde girl.
This was the first girl who, just by looking at her, made him feel like his breath would stop.
Not only was her appearance bright and moving, but her cold demeanor also kept people a thousand miles away, exuding a fatal attraction.
Before Li Wei could speak, Harry was almost mesmerized.
"Barton, prepare some snacks for the children."
"Yes, Master."
The house-elf Barton appeared from who knows where, offering four cups of iced lemon juice. With another flash, a delicate pastry plate appeared in his hand.
"Thank you."
Hermione instinctively placed her hands on the iced drink—she only then realized she had run all the way here and was covered in sweat.
"Whirlwind Sweep Clean."
Hermione saw Professor Li Wei suddenly wave his wand.
A gust of clear wind precisely blew into their sleeves and collars, smoothly whisking away all the sweat, even blowing away the perspiration on their foreheads, leaving only a feeling of freshness.
"Whirlwind Sweep Clean can be used like this?!"
Hermione's eyes widened, looking at Li Wei like a curious baby.
Just then, she felt a poke on her waist.
Hermione angrily turned her head, seeing Ron silently reminding her with his eyes—don't forget why we're here.
She suddenly snapped back to reality, giving Harry a slightly embarrassed glance.
Fortunately, Harry's mind was entirely on Jiamer at the moment and he hadn't noticed Hermione at all.
"Speak, what is it you've come to see me about? Is it about the Basilisk?"
Upon hearing the word 'Basilisk,' Harry finally snapped back to attention and quickly turned his head.
He then belatedly realized his lapse in composure, his face flushing red!
To his relief, it seemed no one in the room had noticed him.
"Yes, Professor!" Hermione replied, then looked at Harry, "Do you mind?"
After all, this was something that had happened to Harry.
Due to his poor academic performance, Harry felt somewhat ashamed to face Li Wei.
Seeing Hermione ask him, he quickly nodded, signaling Hermione to speak for him.
"Very good."
Hermione nodded with satisfaction, then looked back at Li Wei.
The satisfied expression on her face immediately turned respectful, and she added with a hint of mystery:
"Professor, didn't I ask you about the Basilisk before? I am now almost certain that a Basilisk is hidden within the Hogwarts castle!
It's alive! Harry heard its voice! I mean—Harry is a Parselmouth!"
Hermione didn't waste time explaining what a Parselmouth was, believing it to be common knowledge for Professor Li Wei.
His reaction was as she expected, and even… startled Hermione.
"So, the person who heard the Basilisk's voice earlier was Mr. Potter, correct?"
Li Wei's gaze shifted to Harry, the person in question.
Harry met his gaze and nodded, feeling a bit uneasy—even at this point, Li Wei's expression remained calm, which gave Harry an indescribable feeling.
A monster that could kill with just a stare was roaming within Hogwarts castle, yet Professor Li Wei could remain so calm. He even seemed a bit indifferent.
This made Harry feel a sense of vigilance.
Could this be another professor possibly connected to the Dark Lord?
"Potter, next, please look directly at me and do not shift your gaze."
Li Wei's calm tone carried a commanding tone, and Harry instinctively obeyed.
Immediately after, a chilling hiss echoed through the office!
Hermione and Ron's eyes widened abruptly! They both looked at Li Wei with terrified eyes!
Ron shot up from his seat! His knees hit the round table, making a harsh noise. Jiamer glanced at him dismissively, a mocking expression on its face.
But no one had the presence of mind to pay attention to that.
In front of everyone, Li Wei's lips moved constantly, emitting an evil sound they had never heard before!
"Potter, tell me, what did you hear from the Basilisk?"
"I will tear you apart—I will kill everyone—"
Harry stared into Li Wei's dark pupils and answered according to his question.
When he came back to his senses, he found Hermione and Ron looking at him with strange eyes, lingering fear in their pupils.
"What's wrong with you two?"
"Harry--you were speaking Parseltongue just now--you don't know how evil that voice sounds."
"Huh? I was just answering the Professor's question normally--"
Harry frowned subconsciously; Ron's attitude at this moment made him feel very uncomfortable.
"Parseltongue is just a language, there's nothing evil about it."
Li Wei suddenly interrupted their conversation.
"Language is merely a tool for communication. If you deem an unfamiliar language evil simply because of a different way of vocalizing it, that is both ignorance and foolishness."
His attitude was so natural, his calmness filled with convincing confidence, that the surprise and discomfort in Harry and Hermione's hearts instantly dissipated.
"Professor, you can also speak Parseltongue? But I heard it's a famous skill only Slytherins possess."
"Indeed, certain exceptionally gifted wizards are born with the ability to communicate with snakes. The despicable Grindelwald, Salazar Slytherin, or the Dark Lord himself, they all possess this ability."
Upon hearing the words 'Dark Lord', Harry felt a sudden sting in the scar on his forehead.
He frowned, looking at Li Wei, feeling a bit uncomfortable in his heart--why did everyone fear that being? They didn't even dare to mention his name?
"You mean Vold--"
Before Harry could utter the name, Li Wei directly silenced him with a spell.
The action was sudden and brutal, with no warning, making Harry, who was hit by the spell, somewhat angry--he was already displeased with Gryffindor's point deductions over the past two weeks.
"Potter, I know what you're thinking, but this has nothing to do with courage."
Li Wei shook his head. Towards Harry, who was glaring at him, he felt no anger, but a slight disappointment.
Truly experiencing the 'Chosen One' as such a reckless being was completely different from experiencing it only in books or memories.
"The Dark Lord's true name holds magic. Anyone who speaks his name will be tracked by him. Do you understand?"
Li Wei released Harry from the spell.
As it turned out, he was quite reasonable. After hearing Li Wei's explanation, Harry quickly calmed down, and even a flicker of guilt flashed in his eyes.
"I'm sorry, Professor, I didn't know--"
"It's alright."
Li Wei waved his hand, interrupting his apology.
Ron, standing nearby, was somewhat dismissive of Li Wei's explanation. Although he didn't want to hear the Dark Lord's true name, and even trembled with fear every time he heard it, the Dark Lord was already dead. So what if Harry said his true name? Was it necessary to use a spell to directly shut someone's mouth?
The atmosphere became tense for a moment.
But Hermione quickly spoke up, changing the subject.
"So, Professor, about the exceptionally gifted wizards you mentioned earlier, are you one of them?"
