After resolving the immediate crisis, Bai Sui and the others left the scene. Taking advantage of their magic, they began gathering intelligence throughout this world and soon gained a general understanding of it.

In 2013, a so-called "parallel world breach point" suddenly appeared beneath the Pacific Rim. Soon afterward, an enormous and bizarre creature emerged from the sea.

The first colossal beast to emerge from the seabed easily destroyed San Francisco and every coastal city nearby. During the battle against it, humanity discovered that conventional weapons inflicted far too little damage. In the end, it was only destroyed by a nuclear bombardment. However, the cost of that battle was immense: everything within several hundred miles of San Francisco became barren wasteland.

Yet the monster that had been destroyed was only the beginning. After that, many more monsters emerged from the seabed one after another, attacking cities around the Pacific Rim. In response, humanity invented Jaegers, using these giant mechanical soldiers to fight the creatures of flesh and blood.

The current year was 2020. Seven years had passed since the first monster crawled out of the sea, and humanity's Jaegers had gradually matured. Gipsy Danger, which they had seen earlier, was currently the strongest mecha.

After a simple investigation into this world, the group returned home. They had not come with any particular goal in mind; they had merely wanted to confirm the state of this world. Now that they had a general understanding of it, there was no reason to remain.
