Strong opponents excite him more than fame: after defeating Chen Xin, he declines to identify himself and says that his real interest lies in fighting the era’s peerless Douluos 37.

Praise from Gu Yuena and Shen Yifeng strongly motivates him. Their presence makes him eager to display his abilities, and their approval leaves him proudly seeking further compliments from Di Tian. Xiong Jun initially works as a porter, earning only Copper Soul Coins while the others bring back Gold Soul Coins. Di Tian concludes that continuing to use him for such labor will never raise enough money. Xiong Jun instead becomes particularly absorbed in human food; an accidental restaurant encounter nearly exposes the group’s connection to Gu Yuena despite her instructions to pretend to be strangers 10.

He demands to know who sent them and kills the three companions during the interrogation. Tai Tan continues to refuse, and Shen Yifeng ultimately kills him 137.

Gu Yuena then orders Xiong Jun to wipe out the Strength Clan. He carries Tai Tan’s corpse to its residence and annihilates the clan. The remaining claw marks lead Tang Hao and Spirit Hall’s investigators to suspect his involvement; Tang Hao vows revenge, while the surviving single-attribute clans become fearful for their own safety 138 139 147.

Color Dragon Sect

Xiong Jun enthusiastically supports establishing a soul beast sect, arguing that they should confront trouble openly rather than remain hidden. After the Color Dragon Sect is founded, he publicly identifies himself as a member and refuses Golden Crocodile’s recruitment offer 140 142.
