Incarnation Beyond the Body

Water Moon Palace Patriarch Hall.

The scent of sandalwood lingered in the air. White jade purification vases stood on either side of the offering table, each holding branches of moon laurel, their surfaces faintly veined with gold.

Behind them, one life plaque after another stood arranged like undulating mountains, clustering around a painting at the very top.

The painting depicted a figure in plain white robes, holding a branch of moon laurel as she leaned against a railing and gazed at the moon... her face unseen.

The Second Palace Mistress led several Nascent Soul old women in respectfully offering incense, praying, "Unfilial disciple Qi Yunqing humbly beseeches the Patriarch's incarnation to dispel calamity and resolve our troubles..."

After the rites, a jade pendant missing several corners appeared in her hand. She poured a stream of magic power into it.

A hazy white radiance spread across the jade pendant. It was not intense, yet it seemed tranquil and crystalline as it silently floated in midair.

The old woman leaning on a dove-headed staff sighed and sent out a jade fragment—the very missing corner of the pendant.

The pendant abruptly became whole, its seams vanishing without a trace. As though passing through the void, it sank into the portrait of the Patriarch.
