Inside the inn, Dawn released three auras and carefully felt the enhancements the three differently focused energies brought to his body.
Slowly, Dawn tried to control the three auras and make them merge into one.
But to Dawn's disappointment, just as when the three auras acted on his body, they stacked atop one another like parallel lines, each layer remaining separate and without interference.
Now, however, when Dawn wanted to fuse them together, it was like laying the three rings flat on the ground and trying with all his might to turn them into a single ring.
Obviously, that was impossible.
"Was I heading in the wrong direction with the development?" After failing once again, Dawn realized the issue was not whether his ability development was complete enough. The direction had been wrong from the start.
But on second thought, that did not seem right either. They all acted upon the human body, merely with different focuses. Since they came from the same source, why could they not become one?
Still unwilling to give up, Dawn tried again. This time, he attempted to combine them two at a time, but the result remained the same. Whenever he tried to fuse them, they repelled each other.
Like two magnets that would forever repel one another, they could never merge.
"Is the Aura Fruit really going to stay like this forever? And there's still no sign of the Contract Aura. Are its limitations just too great? But I can't create something like Homies the way Big Mom can."
Dawn had originally planned things well. He intended to use Ouroboros's devouring ability to have Ouroboros consume part of a contractor's soul. Then, the conscious miniature Ouroboros would serve as a supervisor for the contract.
