Half a day later.
The battle ended. The Kotal Kingdom's mercenary corps had been routed, and Lao G had been no match for Garp. He was beaten senseless and arrested early on, then prepared for a thorough scrub-down in Impel Down.
The remaining surviving defeated soldiers fled back to the fleet and sailed out to sea, fleeing without looking back.
It was a glorious victory.
The Ishtar Kingdom's soldiers had suffered casualties of less than thirty percent, yet they had defeated an equal number of enemies. This was not only the result of the naval ambush; the vanguard troops covered by Dawn's War Song had also made a tremendous contribution.
The enemy had already fled. Although most of the ships had been damaged, quite a few could still be repaired. Combined with the resources carried aboard them, this counted as a great victory.
"Old Man Garp, thanks for your hard work." Dawn felt relieved when he saw Garp arrive. When Lao G had ambushed him earlier, if Garp had not acted in time, Dawn might have barely blocked one or two moves, but the surrounding soldiers would definitely have suffered heavy casualties.
As for calling him Old Man, there was probably a forty-year age gap between Dawn and Garp, so there was nothing wrong with it.
"Hahaha, Dawn, your ability isn't bad either. No wonder Sengoku thinks so highly of you." Garp had suppressed Lao G early on and then stood to the side watching the show.
After all, as a Marine, he could not participate in a battle between two nations. He had only arrested Lao G because Lao G was a pirate, and because provoking a war between two countries was especially egregious.
It was only natural that the two knew each other. Dawn had a good relationship
