Ever since the Ishtar Kingdom royal family took over this country, the oppression people had imagined never came. Instead, the people became far happier than before.
Everyone wore happy smiles and looked forward to the future.
Dawn arrived at the royal palace in a black cloak. Though the former king was dead, he had left behind a sufficiently magnificent palace.
Neither Gaius nor Dawn was particularly fussy, so they simply had the palace cleaned and lightly redecorated before putting it to use.
They had no intention whatsoever of rebuilding the palace just because the dynasty had changed.
However, the entire palace was not used as living quarters. Many rooms had been turned into offices.
As soon as Dawn arrived at the palace, someone came to greet him.
"Your Highness Dawn, you're back! How disgraceful of us—no one went to receive you..." Adolf, the butler acting in Gaius's place, said delightedly when he saw Dawn.
"No need. I decided to come on a whim. How has Crete been lately? Is there anything that needs attention?" Dawn stopped Adolf from apologizing further and got straight to the point.
"The Crete Kingdom has already gotten on track and is developing very smoothly. Recently, with guidance from the Ishtar Kingdom's scientists in agriculture, the entire country has not only achieved food self-sufficiency, but even has a surplus."
The moment business was mentioned, Adolf immediately slipped into work mode.
"What about the production of iron goods and weapons?"
"Because of agricultural development, farming tools sold exceptionally well for a time."
Adolf explained, "As for weapons, we cooperate with the Navy, so there's absolutely no need to worry about sales. Overall, things are progressing very well."
"That's good. Are there any security concerns that need attention lately?"
