Blood sprayed from Katakuri's mouth, most of it soaking into his thick scarf.
The rusty stench of blood filled his mouth, but pain meant nothing to a battle-hardened powerhouse like Katakuri.
Yet his eyes were filled with astonishment.
In that instant, his Observation Haki had foreseen his opponent's attack. Its trajectory, speed, and timing had all been laid bare before his Observation Haki.
And he had acted accordingly, just as before.
But unlike before, when he had exploited an opening Dawn revealed and landed a blow on him, this time, it was his own body that took the punch.
His Observation Haki had clearly foreseen it, yet he had still been hit.
"You..." Katakuri wiped the blood from his face, his brow deeply furrowed as he looked at Dawn with utmost gravity.
"I really have to thank you for this. This feeling is becoming more and more familiar." Dawn recalled what had just happened and the sensation from that moment.
Everything around him had come to a halt, while only his thoughts continued at their normal speed.
Dawn moved his Armament Haki-clad fist downward and slammed it into Katakuri.
Then everything returned to normal. The sensation of his fist striking something solid traveled back through his hand, accompanied by Katakuri being blasted away!

Wanting to test the Observation Haki he had only just grasped, though it still worked inconsistently, Dawn took the initiative to attack.
