Oto swept past Blackbeard, cutting into flesh and sending crimson blood blooming through the air like flowers.
At the critical moment, faced with death, Blackbeard endured the pain and twisted his body aside. Oto slashed across his chest, and blood burst forth in an instant.
After Dawn's slash, before Blackbeard could react, he twisted his body, raised his right leg, drove power from his neck through his waist, and whipped a horizontal kick at Blackbeard's head.
But Blackbeard was not one to meekly take a beating. He blocked with his left hand while his right fist smashed heavily toward Dawn's thigh.
"Get lost!"
Dawn bent his restrained right leg and slammed his Armament Haki-coated knee viciously into Blackbeard's face.
"Bang!"
A dull boom rang out as Blackbeard was sent flying by the knee strike.
"Liberation!"
As Blackbeard slid across the ground, he released all kinds of objects again, hurling them at Dawn to halt his advance.
Just as Dawn shattered the various objects and was about to press forward again, Blackbeard let out a roar. A vast expanse of darkness, like a demon's gaping maw, devoured everything around it.
Dark Path!
This was Blackbeard's ability to use the Dark-Dark Fruit to release darkness across a wide area on the ground. Everything, including people, would be sucked into the darkness.
And this ability was not to be underestimated. Under the effects of its gravity, it was practically a miniature black hole, possessing astonishing crushing and pulverizing power. That made it extremely dangerous.
Dawn loosely clenched his right hand and created a long staff. The portion inserted into the darkness was quickly snapped apart.
"What a dangerous ability." Dawn stood in midair. "But it's useless if it can't hit me."
