Rain left its sheath with a ringing cry and its master's bloodlust, plunging into the crowd. The sharp black blade sliced across the neck of the pirate charging at the front, then carved a crimson arc through the air. A scarlet slash cut every pirate surrounding him cleanly in half.

The enormous sword slash continued onward without losing momentum, crashing into the pirates rushing from behind and splitting several more of them in two at the waist.

Blood and agonized screams blanketed the area, and Shiryu's bloodlust grew even more frenzied.
