Endless regret, humiliation, and rage mixed together, filling everyone with unbearable sorrow.
Kin'emon and the others glared at Jack as if they wanted to eat his flesh and drink his blood to quell the hatred in their hearts.
"Heh, the weak are always like this. I'll be waiting for your revenge, but that's assuming you still get the chance."
Jack remained completely unmoved by the venomous stares of the crowd. Instead, he looked at them with a disdainful sneer. "Once I hand you over to Boss Kaido, all that awaits you will be despair."
Those words were utterly heartless. How could they not know how strong Kaido was? They had fled precisely to escape Kaido's pursuit.
And now that they had fallen into Kaido's clutches, how much chance did they have of escaping?
Even if they did escape, what were the odds that they could avenge themselves?
At that thought, everyone could not help feeling helpless. Their young lord's death had dealt them too great a blow, leaving them all silent.
Jack's pirates searched the entire island and looted a great deal of wealth. Once they were satisfied, they prepared to leave Zou with their vast haul of treasure.
Duke Inuarashi, Master Nekomamushi, Kin'emon, and the others were all taken away, while Jack's group simply abandoned Zou, now shrouded in poisonous gas.
If this continued, then even after the poison dispersed, those who had been poisoned would likely be left half-dead. Even if some managed to hold on, eating would be a problem when they could not move.
Zou would probably be wiped out within days!
"Hey!! Dispel the poison!!" The cat and dog were slung over the pirates' shoulders. "Do you
