The Battle of Edd Sea.

This clash between two legendary pirates, meeting by chance on the narrow seas, shook the very structure of the entire world.

In the final stages of that battle, Roger, surrounded on all sides, seemed more likely to lose—but unexpectedly, he was saved at the last moment by a sudden, monstrous wave.

The sea swallowed half of Golden Lion's fleet, and both sides emerged battered. Roger used that sudden storm to break through the lion's jaws and escape.

Golden Lion was gravely wounded in that sea battle; during the storm, a ship's rudder lodged deep in his head. Removing it would risk his life, so he had no choice but to leave it there.

If not for that great tsunami, would Roger have been forced to hand over the world-destroying weapon he held, to save his comrades, letting Golden Lion claim it?

And would Golden Lion, as he boasted, have opened his jaws wide and swallowed the entire world?

If so—if Roger had lost to Golden Lion—there might have been no Great Pirate Era, no Revolutionary Army, no Four Emperors. Only Golden Lion as the sole hegemon, locked in a bipolar standoff with the World Government, each ruling half the world.

But even though the battle with Roger ended in mutual defeat, Golden Lion still held sincere admiration for him.

When the Battle of Edd Sea ended, the vast, boundless ocean smoothed over all the stormy impacts that battle had brought.

And Garp's pursuit could only return empty-handed.

Now it is Sea Year 1498. Time has quietly passed nearly two more years.

Dawn's progress with the "Six Powers" is also gratifying. Though only "Shave" is truly proficient, "Tekkai" can barely be used in combat, and surprisingly, Dawn has a talent for "Kami-e"—perhaps because his dodge stat is maxed out.

As for the remaining three forms—"Finger Gun," "Rankyaku," and "Geppo"—they only work occasionally. How long before they can be used in battle is unknown.

Even with the fruit's contribution, being at this level at his age is certainly something to be proud of, but that is no reason for Dawn to slack off.

Because Dawn knows that after Roger turns himself in, the rampaging Golden Lion will stir up a bloody storm across this sea.

And the center of that turmoil is where Dawn now stands—Marine Headquarters, Marineford.

And Golden Lion's rampage at Marine Headquarters is the small price one must bear for choosing to join the Marines—a ripple of the era's aftermath.

But Dawn will not underestimate this price. On the contrary, he takes it extremely seriously, because if he's not careful, even these mere ripples could sweep him away, leaving not even ashes behind.

So over these years, besides training in physical techniques, Dawn has devoted all his spare time to developing his Devil Fruit abilities.

And to gain the ability to protect himself—to ensure he doesn't get killed by the aftermath when Golden Lion storms Marine Headquarters—Dawn has developed a new ability.

Void Resistance Aura.

This is a technique that uses the Snatch-Snatch Fruit's power to seize the surrounding air, compressing it around his body to form a shield for defense.

Although this technique is primarily developed using the Snatch-Snatch Fruit's ability, the supporting Aura Fruit is indispensable. Relying solely on the Snatch-Snatch Fruit to manipulate air would be far too costly.

But with the Aura Fruit's assistance, the consumption for this developed technique is much smaller, and controlling it is effortless, without any strain.

This skill is very similar to "Bear's" Bear Shock, both using air, but the difference lies in the abilities used.

Bear's ability uses the Paw-Paw Fruit's impact property to apply pressure to the atmosphere, forming compressed gas, and then using the air's reaction force to generate a massive shockwave.

Finally, he releases it, and because of the air compression, the destructive power is enormous.

Dawn, on the other hand, seizes the air to form a large compressed air mass. While the Snatch-Snatch Fruit takes the primary role, the foundation is the Aura Fruit's ability.

Although Dawn's current ability cannot yet compress it to the level of "Bear Shock's" power.

But Dawn also has an advantage: as the Snatch-Snatch Fruit's "snatching" power increases, he will one day achieve the effect of "Bear Shock."

Moreover, not only can he compress it into a shield, but later, when his power is stronger, he can imitate the principle of "Bear Shock" for attack—but with greater flexibility.

In other words, the development potential of this ability is far higher than the ceiling of "Bear Shock."

With the success of this imitation, Dawn originally wanted to use the Snatch-Snatch Fruit combined with the Aura Fruit to develop "Yin Heal Bullet."

The Paw-Paw Fruit relies on its power to "repel everything," pushing damage out of the body, and the damage is then transformed into a paw-shaped ball.

But the technique Dawn envisions uses the Snatch-Snatch Fruit's ability to seize the damage suffered by the body, then place that damage into a "Void" Aura.

This "Void" Aura is not a special ability—it is simply an attribute-less aura with no power at all.

Dawn only accidentally developed it while continuously working on the Resistance Aura technique.

Using the "Void" Aura to contain air helps the Snatch-Snatch Fruit better manipulate the air.

And Dawn was pleasantly surprised to find that this "Void" Aura is far more practical than he imagined.

In fact, many future aura developments might require its assistance.

Although it has no ability and is just a simple aura, its plasticity and inclusiveness are very strong.

For example, it can contain air, making the manipulation of air within the aura easier.

And if Dawn wants to develop "Yin Heal Bullet," whether the "Void" Aura can contain damage will determine whether this technique can be successfully developed!

But unfortunately, at Dawn's current level, trying to develop such a high-difficulty technique is nothing but a pipe dream.

Even if Dawn had been a doctor in his past life with medical expertise, it wouldn't have helped—his mastery and development of the Devil Fruit's abilities were still insufficient.
