But after the lightning came rolling thunder, as though it rumbled overhead before crashing down hard and exploding.
The dark clouds pressed lower and lower. The instant the rumbling thunder scattered into bursts of crackling thunderbolts, the blue potion shot like arrows loosed from a bow into the thick, layered clouds. In an instant, countless dazzling blue rays mingled with the dark clouds, staining vast swaths of cloud a hazy blue, while the thunder still cracked and snapped, enough to make one's heart tremble. White sheets of rain poured down from the sky, pattering loudly against the ground.
That small vial of Swooping Evil venom had been scattered into the rain filling the sky, turning the rainfall over this entire area magical and making it even denser. Bolts of lightning flashed across the dark, heavy sky, and the rain came down in torrents. As for the Muggles below, they lifted their heads to stare up at the sky. The vast rain fell onto them, washing away their bad memories of tonight, and each of them went about their business as usual, as if nothing abnormal had ever happened.
