This demon from the Bottomless Abyss looked somewhat similar to Baal at first glance. Its outline, too, resembled a huge humanoid monster formed from flame and shadow, as if it were draped in shifting darkness, while its entire body burned with roaring fire. But unlike Baal, its head looked more like some bizarre flayed cow-or-goat skull, the bone exposed, its teeth strange, jagged, and sharp, hanging bare on its face. Its nose was broad and flat, red muscles knotted across its body, and it wore garments woven and tangled from thick metal chains. In the very center of its body hung a ram's skull like a breastplate. The weapon in its hand was not Baal's lightning longsword, but a giant flaming scimitar that required both hands to wield and seemed made for beheading. It looked terrifyingly imposing.
Seeing the summoned Balor standing before him to block the way, You-Know-Who had no attention to spare for anything else if he wanted to cast Episkey on himself. He cast Mirror Image on himself—as the Dark Lord, unlike Allen back in fourth year, he could directly achieve the spell's best effect, creating eight images.
Ever since his duel with Allen after the last battle at the Ministry of Magic, Voldemort had changed his old thinking of only liking direct attack and defense. He no longer believed illusion magic was merely the little tricks of incompetent wizards. Not only had his attitude changed, he had also gone and learned Mirror Image himself—so long as he had his Death Eaters arrange for him to meet a few of the children who had attended Allen's classes, without even needing to mention Voldemort's traceless use of Legilimency, he could easily learn from the minds of children who had not mastered Occlumency which Charms Allen had taught them.
