At dawn, a dewdrop slid from a tender leaf and burst into countless strands of golden light. Allen rose and finished his stance, completing the third movement of the Basic Body Refining Technique.
I've finally mastered the third movement. I wonder what kind of surprise it will bring me. Allen was filled with anticipation.
Allen's thoughts drifted back to a year and a half ago. After obtaining the Basic Body Refining Technique, he had spent the entire afternoon immersed in the book, carefully savoring every word within it, tracing its illustrations over and over in his mind, and mentally rehearsing the specific movements. Fortunately, none of the afternoon classes had been major subjects, allowing Allen to get through them smoothly.
Over the past year and a half, Allen had spent every extracurricular period tutoring Harry and Flag in the school's knowledge corner. As their grades improved by leaps and bounds, their friendship also grew stronger through Dudley and the others' repeated provocations. Without question, the demon math teacher's perverse-level test papers had failed to stump the three of them. At the finals of the school talent show, Allen and the other two's performance had been a tremendous success, with applause and praise resounding throughout the Great Hall. In the final exams, Allen had claimed first place in the grade with the almost unbelievable achievement of perfect scores in every subject, delighting Mrs. Kelly beyond measure.
Of course, what made Allen happiest and interested him most was his study of Charms and his practice of the Basic Body Refining Technique. Practicing the Basic Body Refining Technique allowed him to control the muscles in different parts of his body more precisely. In the future, he would need exact movements when using a wand, and when preparing Potions, he would no longer have to worry about his hands shaking while handling ingredients.
Allen returned to his room, took a shower and changed his clothes, then went downstairs. Aside from Daisy, the rest of the family was still asleep.
Thoughtfully, Allen brewed a pot of steaming breakfast tea rich with the scent of milk and brought it to Daisy's table.
"Big Sis, Flag and I agreed to go see Harry today. Please let Mum know for me."
"Alright, go have fun. Just remember to be back before dinner." The rich milk tea put Daisy in an excellent mood. Amid its fragrant steam, she did not forget to remind her younger brother.
"Don't worry!" The door closed softly behind him as Allen left home.
