The Armed Aurors were startled by his words for a moment, but their training held, and they continued carrying out their previous orders, only beginning to send people back to the Ministry to report the situation at the scene.
The other ordinary wizards, however, looked far more panicked. They could not imagine what public order would become if the streets were left without Patrol Aurors.
In particular, the immigrants who had already suffered through hardship once also stayed quiet, no longer cheering for the Armed Aurors' arrests as they had before. The silent atmosphere was oppressive. The Ministry of Magic back in their homelands had been unable to control public order, giving the Death Eaters an opportunity and leading to all the suffering they had endured. Algy Longbottom raised the camera in his hand. The bleeding Witch in particular got several close-up shots from him as he zoomed in. "Have you lost your mind? What use is this kind of public opinion to Harris now? They've even killed people..." Hector was both terrified and alarmed. He watched the outside warily, afraid those Aurors would notice them. "What else can it bring besides angering them?"
"Scrimgeour handled this rather well. This will make Harris take it seriously." Algy Longbottom lightly patted the camera in his hand. "Of course I'm not going to have the media publish this. It's for Dumbledore to see. We'll tell him all of it, then have him step in and persuade Harris to calm down. I don't think that will be a big problem..."
"Don't be stupid, Longbottom! Even if Dumbledore is willing, that doesn't mean he can solve the problem. Harris didn't care much about saving face for him before." Flint's
