Scrimgeour looked momentarily stunned and said nothing, but Allen did not stop. As if he were bad at math, he raised a fist and extended two fingers.

"In my third year, I personally captured the Death Eater Peter Pettigrew, gathered enough evidence to clear Sirius Black's name, exposed the corruption in the Ministry of Magic at the time, and made Mr. Crouch pay for his own mistakes. So perhaps, as you said, this also helped my family fight for power and profit, but all of it happened within the limits allowed by law, didn't it? Also, head of the Auror Office, what did you do that year?"
As Allen extended three fingers, everyone present, like Scrimgeour—apart from Dumbledore and Hermione, who even knew the inside story—looked somewhat dazed. Though they had heard bits and pieces, only now, after Allen laid it all out, did they realize in astonishment just what the boy before them had done when he was still a child.
"Fourth year, the Triwizard Tournament. Dumbledore and I worked together and tried to eliminate Tom while he was in the state of being resurrected. Though because I went to rescue the Muggles deliberately attacked by the Death Eaters to stall for time, that goal wasn't achieved, in
