Instead of passing straight through the wall like an ordinary ghost, Lockhart pretended to knock on the door with his hand, imitating the sound of knocking and prompting another burst of irrepressible giggles from the female fans outside.
Nancy glanced cautiously at Allen. Seeing that he was smiling and did not object, she walked over and pulled the door open.
