Allen and the others sat down on the longest sofa. Luna's misty gaze fell on the cake Dudley had dug into and left in a mess on the table, then she leaned back against the sofa with no interest. The Dursleys had drinks prepared everywhere for Dudley, so he could grab one from as near a spot as possible, but clearly, they had no intention of using them to entertain freaks right now.
"I said it back then. You're still a year short of coming of age. You freaks must all have broken brains to consider someone under eighteen an adult. Dumbledore must be senile too. Completely unreliable..." Petunia sat down beside her husband with her arms folded and said coldly, "So, are these freak friends of yours here to send you back to live with us?"
"I don't agree!" Vernon furiously waved his fist in midair, his face turning a purplish brown with rage. "Boy, when you left, you never said you'd be coming back again. When we took over this house, we didn't design a room for you."
"Looks like he saw you living comfortably and this poor brat came knocking again for free food and lodging, didn't he? You raised him for so many years, and now he's become baggage you can't get rid of. Trash like this is just a waste of space alive." Marge's disdainful gaze swept once more over Snape, whose clothes were the most brightly colored of them all. "It's one thing for a few children to come over begging for food and drink, but you adults who crawled out of who knows what slum actually have the nerve to come too?"
That made the Dursleys somewhat awkward. They had not told Marge that this house had actually been bought by Harry's godfather.
