"Miss Bersted, my apologies, I will serve you at once!" The elderly goblin behind the counter clapped his hands, and a slightly younger goblin came over. The old goblin of Gringotts instructed him, "I need to take Clinking Coins to the underground vault."

Allen's invisible Arcane Eye brazenly followed the goblin and Millicent toward a door in the hall. Passing through it, they entered a rough stone corridor lit by burning torches. The goblin gave a whistle, and a cart rolled out of the darkness along the tracks.
The center of the cart looked like a motorcycle with a trailer. At the front driver's seat were two round rearview mirrors pressed close together, and behind them were two curved handrails like stag antlers for the goblin driver to steer with. Four long axles connected it to the tracks, and four huge iron wheels clattered over the chains. The whole cart looked like an enormous black mosquito.
Millicent sat in the cart's trailer with her chin lifted, and the goblin wriggled up after her. The cart lurched into motion, speeding faster and faster along the dark track. With a whistle, it overtook the Arcane Eye and raced into the depths. The Arcane Eye gave chase desperately from behind, but after the cart made a three-hundred-and-sixty-degree spin and switched into a curving tunnel, the Arcane Eye lost sight of it—perhaps with Bersted's weight added to it, the cart was moving much faster than Allen remembered.
