Not long after Allen left the Floating Ship by Apparition, he returned carrying a goblin. This goblin was dressed differently from the ordinary goblins of Gringotts: he wore a crisp black pinstriped suit, with a sapphire-blue silk shirt underneath, and his big black leather shoes had been polished to a glossy shine. It was Nagnok, the president of Gringotts.
At that moment, Nagnok dazedly surveyed his surroundings. When he saw Hermione, he bowed with considerable grace and greeted her. "Good evening, Mrs. Lestrange."
"Good..." Hermione hurriedly returned the greeting, but halfway through she realized Bellatrix would never have been so polite. She lifted her chin and ignored him instead—while inwardly beginning to worry a little about the state he was in under the Imperius Curse. Although after all these years she was no longer particularly repulsed by this kind of Dark Magic, the good-student side of her was still affected by the knowledge that one should not use the Unforgivable Curses on others.
To keep Nagnok from later exposing anything if he was subjected to Legilimency, and to make the act more convincing, Allen turned his terrifying, snake-like face toward Hermione and deliberately said in a hoarse, cold voice, "Bella, take your master to retrieve what belongs to me."
"As you command... my master..." Hermione cooperated by imitating Bella's loathsome, babyish voice. Somewhat awkwardly, she ran her tongue over the rotten teeth in her mouth; although they caused her no pain, they were full of the sensation of a foreign object.
Then Allen's version of Voldemort exaggeratedly waved the wand in his hand and opened a Gate. On the other side, a waterfall could be seen crashing down over the tracks. After Allen brought Hermione and Nagnok through the gate, the rushing roar poured into their ears.
"The Thief's Downfall!"
