After receiving their orders, the Aurors and Hit Wizards serving as security in the Dueling Arena stands hurried down the steps toward the edge of the seating area. They drew their wands, intending to dispel the protective barrier formed by that super Protego charm.

After completing his shocking display of taking so many Killing Curses head-on, Allen caught his breath and hid his discomfort, then used Multiple Shadows. Three Allen Harrises appeared at different points around the dueling field, forming a triangle.

Each Allen made the same motion. From their outstretched hands shot a green ray, and the three streams of green energy formed three enormous anchors in midair. After they smashed deep into the ground, the areas where the anchors landed were shrouded in a force field gleaming with faint emerald light.

The killers, who had already realized in terror from Allen's earlier demonstration that things were impossible, found that the green light did not affect them in any way. But when they immediately tried to Apparate, it was as if they had sunk into a swamp—nothing happened at all. This was Allen using Dimensional Lock, an advanced version of the single-target Dimensional Anchor from Ancient magic. Although it was not as long-lasting as modern wizards' Anti-Apparition magic, nor could its range be adjusted as freely, its advantage lay in how quickly it could be cast. With Clones and various Meta-magic Techniques reinforcing it, it still barely managed to cover most of the Dueling Arena.

Dimitar, who had just landed, was so frightened that he picked up the broom he had only just put down. He shouted, "Harris just set up an instant-cast Anti-Apparition-like charm! If you don't want to die, follow me."
