Once everyone had arrived, Penelope tilted her head up and waved at the three giant dragons coiled atop the temple. Albert's gaze met that of the largest one, Lassie, and when he saw those red eyes like molten lava, he still felt somewhat uneasy, influenced as he was by wizarding tradition and by the mindset of the comparatively normal people in his family.
The other team members also looked somewhat nervous—not because these dragons were huge even among Dragons, but because pure-blooded four-legged dragons like Lassie and Drogon carried far stronger Dragon Might than two-legged Dragons. Within a certain range, ordinary wizards whose minds were less firm could even be intimidated into panic, trembling, or complete immobility.
But the one not moving now was Lassie herself. Though Penelope kept waving at her, the enormous Red Dragon did not obediently let them ride her as originally arranged. Instead, she merely let out a savage roar, the threatening stench of sulfur in her mouth making it clear that she would not allow anyone near. Drogon and Pansy, the other two giant dragons, followed their big sister and boss Lassie's lead and plainly took an uncooperative stance as well.
Feeling that the scene had become rather awkward and that she had lost face as commander, Penelope simply raised her arm and called to the Perception Mark on it, "Crazy Girl, control your dragons..."
No sooner had Penelope spoken than Lassie tilted her head as if she had heard something. She excitedly raised her massive head, her red, lava-like eyes shining brightly as she looked back toward the temple. But then she shook her head, let out an unwilling hiss, and slowly flew down to land on the ground. She lowered her body before Penelope and bowed her head without resisting.
